Under Construction
I have been playing Bensalem for years and the conditions were always decent however this course is under much construction for the past year and a half and I am not sure what their end goal is however some parts of the course is being neglected none of the tee boxes were in good condition and all of them were unlevel. Sand traps had weeds and water in them. It was in better condition previously and when I see the upgrades they are doing, it does not seem to make much sense in making the course better.
Under Construction
We knew this going in and since we paid $30 we still considered this a good rate. Hole 11 was closed but again, we knew that. The greens and fairways were in excellent shape. Not a complaint to be had. A couple of tee boxes could use some work. If you are going to get worked up about 1 closed hole you may want to play somewhere else. If this doesn't bother you then you should have a pleasant round.
Good course for the price
Nice course was in good condition. Was disappointed that hole 11 wasnt ready yet, but all in all the course was in great condition. Staff was extremely friendly also.
Prune the trees which have taken over the fairways
I would give this course a higher rating, but they need to prune back the tree branches which overhang into every fair
Ground under repair
The course is under heavy renovation. Hole 11 is MIA so its actually a 17 hole course. The signs and arrows from hole to hole are missing on the back 9 meaning of this is your first round you will get lost, we sure did.
I felt like I was ripped off paying full price for a 17 holes and dealing with such disarray.
What a mess!
Will this course ever be finished?? The 11th hole I guess won't be finished and ready for play til next year, so its a 17 hole course. The tee boxes were horrendous and other than one hole no work was being done. I have played this course over the past 20 years and it just seems its going backwards. The greens were decent but other than that the course is a mess. I won't be back
