Great course
Playing time was way too long 5hrs had to wait at most holes .I understand this time of year everyone wants to be on the course not a big deal would play this course even with the wait.
Good course for value, apparently everyone agrees
Great course for beginners and weekend warriors, course was in great shape besides a few bunkers that were made of wildwood sand. Only issue was the amount of people, lots of foursome and five somes that were majority hackers. Some let you play through, others weren't having it.
Overall I would def play again
nice
One of the best public courses in the area. Grounds are well kept and overall facilities are nice
3 put central
No one mentioned that they just air raided the greens
I got to put on sand for 18 holes.
Back nine are way to hilly.
Staff is nice.
All said I will probably only play the front nine if ever again
Liked the layout and hole lenghth from the back tees
Enjoyed the experience and would like to go back in the spring
A fun 18 holes
An average course and average conditions. The course plays flat and pretty straight forward for 13 holes. But if your walking on a hot day this course kills you after that. You have a longgggg par three crossing a ravine. Then the last five holes go back and forth over this ravine with the 16th being a bear of a par five with the second shot having to be pin point accurate to thread it between trees and after that your left with an approach that leaves you blocked out by the trees. Good luck on that hole.
Great deal, super greens!
Played on a Wednesday, great fall weather, and the conditions were near immaculate for this, or any other, time of year. The greens were smooth and true, fairways green and full, and the round was very enjoyable - other than a major slowdown on the last 4 holes, for a few "elder" duffers. There are a few blind tee shots, and some trees guard many doglegs and approach shots, so course knowledge is a plus.
I've played here many times over the years, and the course is definitely in the best shape I can recall - I will be back next year, especially now that you can book it on GolfNow!!
Good Golfnow Value
Just wanted to play a quick, solo practice round. With the Golfnow discount I saved 56 percent, which made it a great value. Convenient enough to play it again at that price!
TIGHT COURSE ALWAYS PACKED
Tight course challenging back 9 courses always packed expect to play a 5 hour round. Good luck with par 3 13th 210 yards uphill to a tough green I live 5 minutes from the course so I play it often since it's the nicest around me
Got it for cheap, great course condition
Even though my partner and I were not able to finish all 18 holes due to sundown, we only paid $10 and were not expecting what we got. The staff, especially Tom in the pro shop, is extremely friendly and welcoming. The course was in fantastic condition besides one or two green which get no sunlight so they are patchy. I played some of my best golf here and our 2 random partners added to the experience. They played the course often and told me some tips and tricks and were friendly. I would gladly pay for this course full price in the future.
needs care
I never liked the layout but was told since the township took it over how much they have improved it. Well, they need to keep on going because it still needs improvement. The cost was a good deal, but the experience was not. Greens were so bumpy and very inconsistent from one to the next. Some bunkers were pristine and some were so bad, you couldn't play out of them. I'm not saying to not play here, just don't pay that much to do so.
Didn't feel taken
I had wanted to play here for a few years. Finally did. Even tho it plays to just under 6200 yards from the back tees, most of the fairways are tree lined and most of the Greens are large. We played with someone who had played this track often. He said the course was in the best shape he had ever seen. I had to agree. The fairways and greens were all in above average shape. Very few bad spots. The 4th green was pretty bad, but the rest of the greens were all in VERY good shape, even tho they were a little slow compared to what I've played on recently. I am looking forward to getting back out there soon. The only thing bad I can say is I saw more then a few groups of 5 playing witch slowed everyone down. I did see a ranger a few times, but I guess he didn't see them. 3.5 stars out of 5.
Great local course
Don't let the yardage fool you. The course is not the longest, but blind shots and tight fairways make for a challenging course. I played on a beautiful Friday afternoon and it was crowded, but the play moved along pretty well. The greens are in good shape and they have done a good deal of landscaping over the last couple of years.
Worth the return.
I hadn't played this course in nearly 20 years. I was a but skeptical since last time I played the course was pretty suspect. However, It has changed for the better. Not pristine, but the weather has been great and treated most courses well that can handle water nicely. The weather was threatening so Jim in the pro shop took $10 off for our bravery. For that I say Bensalem is a go to for the area.
I really like this course.
I have played here a few times, always well kept. Areas that need attention are addressed. Back nine more fun than the front. Wil play again.
