Great golf course
Thanks to Jon for all his explanations, greens are very slow and with sand, but fairways are very good.
Furnace Creek
This is a hard one to call. The greens on the front had been punched and sanded and the back nine was closed to do the same. The course layout seemed okay and the fairways were better than I thought they might be considering the location. Having said that, I was extremely disappointed with both the course and Golfnow for not being upfront about the conditions. Buyer beware.
Loved Furnace Creek
It was a perfect day in Death Valley for golf. My husband and truly enjoyed our game.
Greens horrible
The course layout isn’t bad, greens were painted blue and had no grass was like putting on concrete. Ball would sometimes hold other times not.
Could be better, but it's off my bucket list!
We enjoyed our day, 75° in January, can't beat that but if I have to be honest the greens are a mess and very inconsistent. Maybe its a water issue but some greens had compact mud areas and some greens were so dry it was like putting on ice. I also thought the signage could have been a little better in finding each hole. For first timers, it was a little challenging finding either hole 3 or 4 and 18.
19th hole was convenient but pricey.
$60 for a 1/4 burger, chicken sandwich and 2 beers.
Grrrr8 experience
Nice time once again. But no water on course, no water in pro shop. No drinks in machine on 11 tee. Its called death valley for a reason.
Flat Course Still Recommended
Grass is mostly good, but bare or thin spots in unexpected places. Needed scorecard map to navigate — too few small signs pointing to next hole. Greens putted true. Terrific views and scenery. Uniqueness makes this a must play for traveling golfers. No course drinking water or coolers because of COVID pandemic. Bring your own or you won’t finish. Friendly single staff person. Would play again without question.
