Golden Oaks Golf Club
About
Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa. is considered one of Berks County's finest courses with a four-star rating from Golf Digest, which also named it as one of the top "Places to Play." It was voted the "Best Public Course" by readers of Berks County Magazine. Designed by local architect Jim Blaukovitch, the golf course has a classic design that appeals to players of all skill levels. The course has wide, inviting fairways but there are also some challenges provided by the rolling terrain, featuring elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Be prepared for a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. Trees line Golden Oaks Golf Club's fairways and strategically placed bunkers protect the greensides. The golf course has some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Wide open, fun layout with minimal number of houses in sight
Good conditions.
Wide open.
Fast greens.
Use the correct tees and fun for all levels of golfers.
Great course and people
Played on a rainy/cold/windy Wednesday but made it through all 18 after a lunch break halfway through the front nine due to the weather. Pro shop staff was very hospitable and kind moving me and my partner’s cart under the roofed eating area outside while we ate. Only a few others on the course when we returned so turned out to be a 4 hour round with an 1.5 lunch break included!
Well maintained
Course in great shape as always . Reasonably priced for a very good course. Challenging and multiple spaced out tees make it as playable or challenging as you wish.
Golden oaks
We played in 3 hrs , the course is in fantastic shape, the greens are fast , the best greens in the area! Very nice and challenging layout, if your in the area or even an hr away or so, it’s well worth the ride, you won’t be disappointed!
Great Course
Everything was great. Pace of play. Course conditions. Amenities. Would recommend!
Very nice course
Very nice course. Condition very good for time of year. Pace of play was very good too. Took 2 of us just over 3 hours following a 4some.
Tuff greens fast
Fairways were nice tee box a little confusing
Approaches to the greens are fantastic the greens are a little beat up but still very challenging
Decent if you live close
Came here only because a friend drove (1 hr), wasn’t worth it tbh. The front desk gentleman wasn’t friendly (maybe because we’re asian), course condition was not bad, considering it’s march, could of been better. No real complaints, I just wouldn’t come back here esp. since it’s the boonies. I normally play courses like Bella Vista and Lederach, much better than this course. Not sure how this course won any type of award years ago.
Golf
Tough course, long, narrow, left, right, uphill, downhill, water, trees and sand. Great deal for $33, course is in fantastic shape especially for this time of year. Can’t imagine how great it’ll be in prime season. Greens were brutally fast so good luck!! haha! Love this course but need to bring you A-game and extra golf balls. A favorite!
Best public course in Berks county
Golden oaks is a beautiful course and well priced. Course is long from the tips so as a longer player, you get to hit your mid irons instead of just driver-wedge all day long.
The back 9 is really well put together and the 18yh is a tough par 5 with water to wrap up the round.
It's an awesome course. The only local course that competes is Moselem Springs but that's private. And if you have an opportunity to play Moselem you'll pay $110 or so vs close to half that at Golden Oaks.
Hidden Gem in middle of Nowhere
Strong emphasis on previous reviews: Only negative about this place is that it’s not closer to where I live. Found this course in quarantine 2020 and I have to say it’s worth every single mile of the 92 mile drive. Highly recommended.
For your reference, this is the only course I’ve enjoyed enough to actually go out of my way and write a review. Always great conditions at a great value.
