Golfer Reviews
Beautiful course
Everything's good
Our team really enjoyed the nice course
This is a great layout
Course was in great condition, greens were fast, rough tough. Only issue is the fairway bunkers which are essentially unplayable. Hopefully they will take these on next year but overall is just a great golf course.
Beautiful Course
The course is beautiful and well taken care of. All around great experience!
Beautiful New Bunkers
We’ve been playing there since Year 1, when it was Forest Preserve National, and it’s a great layout, with each hole very separate from any other hole. The bunkers have been a problem the last x number of years, but Wow, they’ve made them into PGA Tour quality sand, with gradual lips on them (better for us higher handicappers)…. Combined w a great deal on GolfNow, and about 6-8 deer we saw, we had a very fun round… I hope they can cover the bunkers this winter.
Just OK
Not a fan of the staff. Also they paired up two singles at 0650 am in the same cart even though the websites states the opposite. If you’re not one of the 1st groups out, plan on a 5 hour round. They do a poor job of grouping and staggering tee times. They’re still missing sand in some of the traps but the fairways and greens are in pretty good shape.
This is a great course
Course is great greenside bunkers good greens fast fairway bunkers unplayable.
Traps
Traps, Traps, Traps…beautiful course but traps need some work. Big percentage of course under repair.
a let down due to course conditions
Course was recently aerated some time the week before (small holes) first couple greens had some sand still ( most Did not) but over all unmowed and bumpy. Every put was 50/50 chance because the ball only touched the grass for 50% of the roll. Too bad for the golfer that courses don't let you know before you book. (Some do , I know)
Labor day Sunday
First time playing here this year. Most of the bunkers have been redone. Bunkers around greens redone really well, fairway bunkers some done, some getting eliminated. Had been having problems with drainage so they're working on that in some areas. Greens were aerated almost not noticeable, but they were puttable.4.5 hrs on a Sunday not bad at all. Rangers keeping things moving.
Great course just slow play!
This could be one of the best public layouts round. The greens were quick and pins placements were in tough locations. The only fault of the whole golf course was the round took five hours in 10 minutes and you did not see one Ranger out there trying to speed people up. It was almost accepted.
