About
The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley is tucked away in the Pioneer Valley, an area of western Massachusetts known for its lush, rolling hills. It is a favorite amongst locals since it is one of the best values in the region. The course enjoys scenic views that stretch to Mt. Tom and the Holyoke Range. It is on the shorter side at just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, but the dramatic changes in elevation make it seem much longer. Most of the greens are raised with steeply sloped sides, making accuracy essential since missing them by even just a few feet will result in a serious penalty. The golf course has a heavily wooded front nine that seamlessly transitions into a more open back nine featuring links-style holes. The Ledges is a shotmaker's course that offers several interesting risk-reward opportunities.

Worth the trip
For me, course conditions trump everything else, and the course was in excellent condition. They had just punched and top-dressed the greens, but it’s that time of year and is to be expected, so I certainly won’t hold that against them (also, they did a great job of top-dressing). I was staying about 50 minutes away, and it was definitely worth the drive. Will play it again. Good mix of tough and scoring holes.
Worth playing
Enjoyed our round. Course in good condition and staff are all awesome…. Especially Mike (GM). Very friendly and aim to make your round memorable. 19th Hole is great.. good food and staff! Will definitely play here again and highly recommend playing here.
Nice course
This course is worth playing. It is well maintained and the staff is awesome! Very friendly place. Some Challenging holes. The 19th hole is small but the food AND drinks are great! I would recommend this course. The foliage was awesome too.
Conditions
The course was in excellent condition as always. Always enjoy playing this course. Look forward to playing again.
Weekend Overbooked
My friend and I went in Saturday, and the staff was great, starter was in top of his game…course looked great BUT…too many groups on the course, first 4 holes took us over an hour, and a slow group even let us play through one hole…and we left because it showed zero signs of speeding up. Sad because we were looking forward to playing.

The ledges is a great public course at a reasonable price. I've played private courses and this was in as good shape! Nice views too.
slow play!!
Outing of non-players ruined it for me. First nine was 2 hour, 45 min long. Most of these elderly "golfers" should be at a chip-n-putt. No one knew how to play ready golf. Avoid Legdes
Back for another round
When we can and golfnow offers these deals, Ledges is one of the courses we look forward to playing.
Conditions have always been "golf ready".
