Los Amigos Country Club

The course and the staff were very nice. I really liked the layout of the course and the condition. My tee time was 12:29 for reference on a Wednesday. The pace of play is really really slow. A lot of players walk the course. Took about 3:30 hours to complete front 9 and took 5:20 hours to complete the entire course. All in all the course is good but the pace of play was horrible. If you like to walk the course and take your time this would be the place for you.

I know the pace of play is based upon the groups ahead of you. With that said, when it takes you 45 minutes just to play two holes, I think the golf course needs to step in and rectify the issue.

We started at 10:45a and barely completed our last hole with just enough light to putt. The rest of the course was just average but the pace was terrible. It also throws off your game as well and ruins the entire game.

Terrible round, our tee time was 11:20 am and we only got 12 holes played before dark. 30 min wait to start the10th hole. Absolutely miserable.

Greens are challenging and conditions are fine overall. Terrible pace tho, multiple twosomes and singles playing their own round and refusing to pair up means 6hours or more. No marshall, had to leave after 9holes taking 3hours ........

Our tee time was 11:30am on a Saturday. When paying in the pro shop I asked how they were running, the guy said about 10 minutes late. Well, left the pro shop to get the cart and low and behold there are about 8 carts lined up in front of us! We teed off at 12:10! Pace of play was SLOW. We played 13 holes and sunlight was waining.

The course is obviously poorly managed and we should have got twilight rates,

Our scheduled twosome ended up getting a refund before we even started, knowing they would not be able to play 18. Rightly so, as one of the gentlemen said, as public course golfers, we secure our tee times in advance. When the public course management can’t accommodate us making through 18 holes in a reasonable length of time when we book our time to complete 18 before the sun goes down is not right.

The high note of the day was our delightful 3rd player who joined us. Sorry we had to bail on him after the 13th.

We will not be going back to to Los Amigo anytime soon. We used to really enjoy this course.

Booked thru golf now. 11:38am reservation single. Got to the course 1 hr early. Hit range balls, practiced putting and chipping. Went to the pro shop a half hour before tee time. Staff person said they were running 25 minutes behind. Told me he would call me to the tee. I waited. And waited. No call. Oops. Yeah that 3 some that teed off at 12:00 noon was my group. Next 3some to join? In about 1 hr. Brain dead staff. Obviously received a refund. Do what every other course does. It’s called a guy with a clipboard at the tee box. He’s called a starter.

But this place is notorious for wishy washy announcements and ambivalence

No Marshall to speed up pace of play

Groups of women hitting balls 30 yards and then all going to the ball at same and watching . I paid for 18 and finished only 9 it took 3 hrs this was in a Friday afternoon at1230

When I booked my tee time (2:35p), it seemed as though there was no one that was going to be at this course. Rude awakening when I arrived. It took an hour and a half to get in 4 holes of golf. There was a 5 some playing ahead of me and another 4 some that should have been playing the red tees. A Marshall is desperately needed to avoid these issue s

Played this morning and all the other reviews are spot on. Overbooked and 5 somes going out. Tee time was for 10:02 and didn’t tee off till closer to 10:45. Front 9 took over 3 hours to complete. Back 9 was 2.5 hours. 5 1/2 hours is way too long for this golf course. No way should this course take that long to play. I did enjoy the layout of a few holes, but overall I wouldn’t pay to come back to play. I’m just in town visiting.

Overall it was ok,a bit slow because of 5some, ourselves been 1 of those, but I think they book to close of tee time, need to spread a bit more and definitely need a starter or marshall, thanks

That's what they do here. The pace of play is fine, they just seen to overbooked the course.

Pace of play was weird. We waited on every hole but played in 4 hours. I think this happened because we were a threesome and the group in front of us was a threesome. If they had been a foursome….5 hours easy. I love when the group in front of you blames the guys in front of them but the group in front of you is the culprit. The group in front of us were three older gentlemen that had no idea of course time management. Example lined up their putts only when it was their turn, left their push carts on the wrong side of the green, calculated their scores on the green, instead of the next tee box, were short hitters but always waited too long on the tee or in the fairway to hit even though there was no way they were reaching the group in front of them. Also another weird thing was that I was a single that paid for a round with a cart through Golf Now. BTW Golf NoW should have the option of walking or cart. Just having cart only forces you to have to take a cart even if you want to walk. The courses won’t let you choose even if you haven’t prepaid. I check in and the guy at the pro shop gives me a key. He says one guy is already checked in we are waiting on our other two. Ok normal procedure. The other guy is a single and has a cart. We wind up with a single walker joining us. On the 6th hole a guy from the pro shop comes to check the bathrooms. He proceeds to ask if we paid $30 for a cart rental. We said no just the $15. He tells us that we need to turn in one of our carts at the turn because we can’t drive a cart as a single unless we pay the full $30 instead of the regular $15. I ask him then why did your starter in the pro shop give me a key? Why didn’t he say there is a solo out there with a cart in your group join him so the other twosome can be together in a cart. He had no answer. He just said they had a cart shortage and we needed to do that. We didn’t and when we finished the round I counted 14 empty carts in line waiting for golfers. Poor management and customer service.

My tee time was 156 pm and i was able to go on the tee at 3 pm

It was so backed up so after finishing each hole I had to wait another 5-10 min to play mext hole

It took 3 hours just play 9holes and i gave up
