Oaks National Golf Club

Quite simply, I have never played a golf course in such poor condition. It does not resemble a golf course and more like an unkept field with 18 areas cut and a cup/flag placed there. I hit a lot of fairways and spent ages looking for my ball the grass was so long. The greens were cut but still the grass was very long and the ball jumped around. On the back nine, the tee markers weren't laid out so it was a guess as to where to play from. I booked this as I like to play new courses and the reviews looked ok. It was not golf as any golfer would wish to experience and not worth the trip. A real shame as some of the holes, especially back nine, looked to be well shaped and challenging. Perhaps it is being run down intentionally and perhaps more housing us planned !

Tee boxes are dirt, a lot of them. Fairways terrible shape. Weeds growing in fairways. Rough are terrible. Need cut. Sand traps have pebbles through out most of them. Greens okay. Could be a great course if taken care of.

Took my 8 year old to play his first full round of golf here. I’m not a very good player myself so I was looking for a place that didn’t seem too crowded, too snobby or too expensive. The recents downpours we’ve been having would make it tough, but even with that consideration the course conditions were just ok. But I wasn’t looking for a perfect, just friendly and in that they excelled. Everyone I spoke to was kind and patient. Not just with my son, but with his old man as well. The few players we encountered were never in a rush and always made a point to complement my son’s game—which he still talks about. So if you play the game for money and trophies maybe pass on this one, but it you want a friendly place where you can play 18 under $25 I’d recommend it.

The most friendly welcome ever at the pro shop. Very helpful and personable. As others have mentioned the fairways are a little tired but the imperfections add to the challenge much like a links course and club selection is very important. The pace of play allowed for mulligans which is really helpful on an actual course during a round. Most tee boxes and all the greens are excellent. Really enjoyed the round, great value for money would definitely suit those with a high or no handicap who play for fun and are at ease with their own skill or lack of it.

Course not in good shape. Greens are decent, but a few on the back nine were spongy. Fairways are mostly weeds. Some tee boxes were just sand. OK for $25.

Broke 120 for the first time, got bit by fire ants for the first time. Lot of water hazards, I liked it and found it challenging, friends did not

Great layout and the the greens are in fantastic shape but overall the course needs some work. Most of the fairways are plagued with weeds and a good mowing would do it wonders, a majority of the tee boxes were dirt with patches of weeds. The lack of tree trimming has made a few holes very narrow and made for some interesting shot play.

I thought that the greens were fantastic, the fairways were not bad maybe a 6 out of ten. Some of the tee box's needed work pretty bad, as long as you are teeing out the ball ok.

The layout is really cool. But the fairway and greens were really bad. I had fun and all. But is just not worth it at this present time. People that work are so nice too.

The course was at times challenging and a good layout; however, the fairways and the greens were somewhat disappointing. The fairways needed to be cut as there were patches of grass growing higher than the rest. The greens were spongy when walked on them and the ball wouldn’t roll as you would expect and were very slow. My understanding that this course maybe closed in the near future and the lack of upkeep of the course is apparent.
