Always enjoy Bardmoor.
Most of the staff are super, especially the starter…..his attitude is upbeat and it rubs off. Course is a challenge and picturesque. Good selection in the Pro shop. FOOD AND BEVERAGE fair to good and not pricy…mixed drinks about 7 . Golf prices vary depending on . com’s.
Uses to be nice
Very disappointed at the conditions at Bardmoore. Tee boxes were horrible greens were hard and there was little to no grass around the bunkers. I looked at their prices just before Easter and they were charging $100 for a round….there is NO way I would pay that to play there I don’t care what time of year it is. It uses to be a $100 course you could play for $50 now it’s a $20 course that Charges $50.
Getting closer.Tough but fair
Gtreat course. Greens in great shape. Watch the fairways though.some disease creeping in.
Going down hill
This course has always been one of the better in this area of Pinellas county, but the greens seem like they haven't been watered for months, the pace of play is horrible, the service at the turn is really slow and the guy in the clubhouse is always miserable about something. I used to go alot and stopped because of this. Got a hot deal, went again and there is a line down the road to tee off. If you play great golf, the greens will ruin you. Fast is fine, that's how a tough course is, but dry, fast, lumpy.. yea.. I wasn't impressed and I'm not a golf snob by any means.
Decent greens
We played the course in 4 hours and the greens were rolling decent.
Decent track, but slow
The layout of this course is quite nice. As with many public courses in the area, there are dirt patches throughout. Another disturbing trend is the lack of course markings.
The biggest issue is pace of play. The back nine took three hours. At the turn, we saw the course had sent groups off on the back.
Another big issue is the driving range. They sell so many monthly range subscriptions that you might not be able to warm up before your round. I've been there when there are ten or more players waiting to hit their bucket.
It was ok
Nothing special. Greens were a bit uneven so the roll wasn't that good. But good value anyway just to get out and play. Slow pace but usually for a course like this you can't expect tour pace
fast
greens were the fastest I have ever played the rest of the course was nice
Layout of course is good up keep is not good as well as pace of play pretty slow.
Great course
Loved this course, was my firs time playing it. Staff was nice. Course was great, water layouts left some shots challenging for my game, but pushed me to get better
SLOW
5 hours round is to long. No ranger. Tee boxes in poor condition. Green were hard as a rock.
Not bad for the price
We were on vacation and were looking for somewhere to play. They did have tee times for next day but seemed over booked once we arrived. Had a great time thanks to the weather but lots of spots around the bunkers where there was no grass
Review
Pace of play was horrendous. Over 5 hours to play on a Thursday mid morning is insane. Was waiting for shots constantly.
It’s a good course but no round on a cart should take that long. And tee’d off 15 mins past my start time.
This course used to be a very nice place to play.
We are not members but have played Bardmoor for many years. Much of that time it was in decent condition and the price was reasonable. However, in the past two to three years, the price has gone up considerably. This year most courses are very busy but yesterday it took 3 hours to play nine. My friend and I quit (gave up) after 13 holes. There seems to be a lot of areas needing improvement. In particular the tees were in poor shape, lots of sand and not a lot of grass. Fairways were pretty typical for many courses in this area with tight lies and bare spots. Sand traps were average. The greens rolled ok but were extremely hard and fast. Many or our approach shots landed short of and then ran over the green; many putts rolled past the pin and sometimes off the green. Hopefully in the "off season", management can find the time to improve the condition of the course to the quality if was in the past. Otherwise, we will continue to find other courses charging less than the $65 to $113 rates here at Bardmoor. Fortunately, this time we paid a discount rate of only $55.
