About
Hibiscus Golf Club is one of the few 18-hole courses in Naples that are open to the public. The course is player enough for beginners and while it may not be what you're looking for if you're in search of a formidable test, it's good for some casual practice for the more advanced player. The layout balances player-friendly, wide fairways with greens that are guarded by strategically placed bunkers. There is a series of lakes and streams throughout the golf course that come into play on nearly every hole. The golf course has seen several improvements since it first opened in 1969, especially after it was badly damaged from a hurricane. More than 200 trees were added as well as 1,200 grasses and shrubs. Hibiscus Golf Club also has a driving range and putting green.

For years it was a barely maintained “Muni”. Their lack of course maintenance at that time was understandable.
Since about two years ago the course proprietors sunk millions of dollars into maintenance & infrastructure. Upon completion, the improvements lasted about 5 minutes as today it really is no better than it was prior to any renovation work.
In the end, take Hibiscus for what it is: A reasonably priced Muni where one can swing a golf club for 4 hours and get some fresh air.
Fun course
Overall good value, course was in very nice shape.
Would play again
Liked the course. Front 9 was very, very slow play and but it picked up on the back nine. Greens were nice but also very slow. Fairways were perfect. Will go back again.
My favorite course
Perfectly level tee boxes, grass in the fairways, manor hazard eliminated, white sand in the bunkers, enlarged greens
Go somewhere else
If you want to know what Bermuda grass was like 20 or 30 years ago this is a good place to go. Then there is there permanent 90 degree rule which makes no sense unless the course is flooded. I did like the little cups on the bottom of the flag sticks to get your balls out of the holes so I guess it is not all bad
