Ocala National at Golden Hills Country Club

Loved the layout. Hills, reminding me of our courses in western Pennsylvania!

course and clubhouse seems to be managed very poorly.

This is a great Rees Jones layout . Just under 7,000 yard’s it’s definitely a big boy course. The fairways need some TLC as they are lacking the quality grass a course like this should have. Greens were great but slow.

Played here 3 years ago , was much better shape, no starter , we’re letting 2 sides off, bunkers very poor shape, fairways poor, greens slow, won’t come back

Always enjoy playing here. They are very organized in getting groups out on time. Even though they were very busy at the time we played, we completed 18 holes in almost exactly 4 hours, not bad. Some fairways were a little sparse with the rye grass but that’s to be expected to some extent in the winter months.

Even though reasonably priced we would have expected a better conditioned course. The first thing we noticed were the bunkers (if you would call them that). They were overrun with grass, black sand and we did not see one rake until #9 and it was just the rake head. Don’t let those pictures of pristine white sandy bunkers fool you because they don't exist. Starting on #10, the course was in a little better shape, we even saw a few rakes. Some of the tee boxes for my wife had no grass or was very sparse. It’s so sad to see what, at one time, appeared to be a really nice course get so run down. We enjoyed the layout of the course and, to end on a good note, the greens were in really great shape.

Course is a bit spotty on tees, fairways and roughs. Greens are really good!

This is a nice course with challenge holes and more left doglegs than most courses I've had the privilege of playing. Would recommend.

I’ve played this course 30 times in the last 10 years, never have I seen it in this great of a condition. Hats off to the staff they are doing amazing things. Tea boxes, fairways and greens all over seated absolutely beautiful the bunkers had been worked and were very playable. This course was always hit or miss but if you like the best lay out in Ocala get there ASAP and enjoy this course at its best.

Challenging and fun. Fairways in spots could use a little work but overall I had zero complaints. Other than my score 😂

It was a slow start. The pro-shop allowed two foursomes (who did not have a teetime) out on a busy course about a half hour before our teetime.so we had about a 20 minute delay from our scheduled teetime. Once things started to open up on the course, the threesome in front of us took an extremely long time on every shot. ( my wife and started counting the number of practice swings each plyer took before addressing the ball and the average was six) There was no ranger on the course seen all day.

Otherwise the course was in fairly good condition especially the greens. Other than the delays, it was an enjoyable round,

This is a great golf course , very challenging, greens and fairways in threat shape , bunkers ok if in the bottom but the sides need tlc

Some blind shots into some greens as you can't see them. Some good doglegs, Some narrow fairways. Some uphill and downhill shots. I love this course for its challenges.

This course has so much character and is a well designed course but its fallen on hard times with a low budget. For $ 35 with cart its a good value.. The manager was excellent working with a small crew and frost delay. The pace of play was horrible......we quit after 10 holes and 3 hours in the round.....we couldnt get done by dark.
