Royal Oaks Golf Club
About
The brilliant Terry LaGree design harmonizes with spectacular scenery to create Royal Oaks -- a unique and picturesque course. Powder sand bunkers dot undulating fairways lined by stately oaks and shimmering water. The course, part of the Audubon system, has preserved mature trees and native vegetation, making it a sanctuary for migratory birds and an unmatched setting for your game. The 6,650-yard par 72 course features four tee boxes on every hole. The front nine is characterized by rolling fairways with up to 35-foot elevation changes, lined with tall Slash Pines and Blue Jack Oaks. The back nine features an open meadow appearance with stands of stately live oaks shading some of the greens. Generous landing areas reward well-placed shots.

“Good” Shape
The fairways and tee boxes are “shaggy” with winter rye but it doesn’t affect the play. They over seeded several weeks back so I’m not sure why they still are keeping them long. The greens are good to very good. Sand traps are not maintained all that great but it’s not terrible. I would play here every weekend EXCEPT they are charging about $8-$10 more than surrounding courses that are in just as good or better condition. I like this course! The staff is pleasant and it’s a challenging track but it is over priced by a bit right now. I’ll still rec and still play once a month unless they bring the price down. I get that it’s winter rates here in Florida but at least be reasonable. No beverage cart as well. Driving range is down the road from the club house. They need to make the ball dispenser able to take money or CC.
Good Condition
Tee boxes, fairways, and fringe are in excellent condition. Sand traps were wet and “hard” but not a big deal. The greens are what matters to me the most and I would call them in Good condition. I would rec this course easily right now and the $40’ish green fees were reasonable. Two biggest issues with this course are NO Bev cart and the driving range is located 2 miles from the club house. If you know these things then you can plan for it and it’s not a huge deal. I bring a cooler with drinks and snacks and give myself extra time to stop at the driving range on the way to the clubhouse.
Great course
Although the course was just aerated it was still in good shape. In a couple weeks it will be great. Live the layout.
Always a nice day out here
As the title says, it’s always a nice day out here. Played a few times now and never had a problem. Nice fairways and greens. What more could you ask for?!
Always a blast.
Course is always in good condition, and the price is great in the afternoon. 2pm Saturday tee time and we didn’t run into any golfers so the pace was great. Always a blast to play!
Nice track
Very nice course, large greens that putt great, layout playable for any skill level
Enjoyable day
Nicely designed course that was not punishing
to the uninitiated.
It was freshly aerated so a lot of plugs to navigate around.
Greens were mowed well and consistent on speed.
Yes, would play again.
Definitely stay for lunch.
Quality menu and professional friendly staff.
I was so impressed with this course. They had just aireated the fairways so that was a challenge but did not detract from the course play and beauty.
We did not wait despite being a twosome Just a great experience.
Outstanding expierence
First time playing this course. Great experience with all aspects
One of my favorite places to play .
This is a great golf course. It will get better when the summer grass grows in.
