About
Stone Creek Golf & Country Club stretches across more 185 acres of Ocala's rolling hills and lush green countryside. The lengthy course stretches to 7,143 yards from the back tees. The challenging layout is known for being one of the best public golf courses in Ocala and the surrounding area. The large greens are undulating and fast. The golf course requires a good amount of accuracy thanks to the strategic placement of bunkers that frame most of the greens. Water also has a prominent presence on the course. It comes into play on 11 holes. Golfers should be prepared for a variety of challenges but the well conditioned Bermuda putting greens provide some of the best putting surfaces in the Southeast. Stone Creek Golf & C.C. also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens.

Really lost the greens here. What happened?
I’ve had trouble getting a tee time here for last couple months. Really looked forward to playing here this past weekend. Last here about 6 months ago and gave a 5 Star review at that time. All aspects were really good. Then. But not now. What happened?
The greens, especially on the back nine were gone. Weed sprouts and disease everywhere. The front nine was slightly better but not by much. Just gave you a preview of 10-18. Horrible greens. Not sure what happened. Spent the entire back nine thinking what could’ve gone wrong. Tee sheet filled up mist everyday. So plenty of money coming in. Maintenance shouldn’t be the issue. Or are they just not putting the money back into the course? Maybe the staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. It seems to be a trend more and more in Central FLA. Just not staying up on course conditions. Maybe they figure people will keep filling up the tee sheet and the cash register no matter what especially this time of year.
But this course was not in the shape it was just 6 mos ago. Tell me all you want about the drought we’ve had this winter. Water the course. Tell me all about the rain we’ve had lately. Whatever. Same conditions they’ve had around here for ever. Figure it out. Spend some of that money you have coming in. And lastly I hope the playing public wakes up and stops spending money on courses that don’t put it back into the course. Or maybe just hire the right people to care for it. Not sure. But it all comes back to spending the money.
Now all I can hope for is to have someone tell me they’re completely redoing the greens like Candler did down the road. Just do it soon!
Oh yeah. Tee boxes were in great shape. Yay!
Didn't play course priced OOC
Golf Pass List course no benefit quit wasting time this golf course is not worth 90 dollars. Golf Pass should list Golf courses that have a discount or benefit for the people. There are golf courses in the Ocala area they advertise discounts to lure you in but when get there and mention it we aren't part of that program. So please stop wasting time. Stone Creek, Chandler, Skyview, Juliet Falls.
If they are in Golf Pass, fine the reason people want to golf there is because of price. They don't show any benefit or ways to save on golfing there. So why are you putting them on here they aren't for the people.

Perfect Fall day at Stone Creek
This course gets a fair amount of play. With that in mind, it is in GREAT shape. The overseed is filling in beautifully and the greens are wonderful.

Enjoyed playing for the first time with the very nice couple I was paired with. The course is in very good condition as well as are the greens even though I was not able to read them very well. My friend is visiting the first week of November and hopefully we will get to play your course. Art

1st time !
Really enjoyed the course, it is a beautiful setting, with lots of Water and Sand, the sand comes into play more than the water, Course was pretty wide open but again a very pretty place. Greens were nice sized and held shots well, but need to be rolled, smoothed out a bit. Recent aeration probably had something to do with il. CLub house was nice, people very helpful. I will return!

Amazing course conditions
Fantastic layout, beautiful well kept course. I gave 4 stars only because this is a current review of the course and the greens aren’t 100% due to aerifacation. We knew that going ahead and enjoyed a cheaper green fee. Didn’t make hardly any puts outside 7 feet.

Awesome course!
I had the second tee time of the morning and I didn’t catch the single in front of me until 17. The course was beautiful and had some really awesome holes. I couldn’t have asked for more from a vacation round of golf. Highly recommend to anybody in the area or just visiting. More than worth the money!

Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Had 4 ladies in front of us ,each with their own cart (members}
My wife and I played our round in 3:30 minutes. and never waited on a single shot. Talked to several members there and they couldn't have been more friendly.

Great golf course
Great layout very wide fairways, large greens, and well manicured surroundings. Sales office staff and golf course staff very very friendly and helpful. Paired with two members and residents of Stone Creek and they couldn’t have been more friendly and a joy to play with.
