Ocala National at Golden Hills Country Club

Don't play from the blues if you can't hit at least 250 off the tee. You'll make everyone suffer hitting 3 woods for your second shot on Par 4's. This is a great layout and tough course. Very enjoyable test of golf.

For the money it’s worth playing. As it relates to maintenance, the course needs a little work. The fairways are either real nice or spotty. The traps are inconsistent too. Tee boxes are just OK. The greens though are in great shape. The greens and the course layout are the best features for the cost to play. Staff was friendly. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open. Pace of play was outstanding just under 4 hours. For the cost to play I would play it again!

Course is long. It's wide open and fair, but still. Nearly every green is elevated making sniping the green difficult. And the last three holes are some of the hardest on the course good course, but not for the faint of heart.

Well architected course! Forces on several holes to fade or draw the ball. Greens, bunkers, tee boxes great. Fairways ok. Roughs low priority and understandable.

As usual Golden Hills gives you everyhing you can want as a golfer. Undulating fairways, great greens and beautiful views.

Nothing special about the course. When I checked in, I asked the clubhouse attendant who I was with, and he said I would just have to go find someone to play with. It was Christmas Eve, and he was just sending players off when they got to the course. So, I had to go off as a single in front of a foursome, but caught a twosome on the third hole. Greens were terribly slow, and Course was fairly wet. One particular downside was the range balls. They were covered in grass and mud, and hardly any had dimples. The range balls looked to be very old. At least you could warm up a bit with them. Nothing special about the course nor amenities.
