Ocala National at Golden Hills Country Club

Beautiful Course. Cold day, but nice to be outside with friends.

Course was in nice shape for a cold February day. Staff was very friendly. Definitely would play again.

We were quite surprised to see such a hilly and scenic course in Florida. Being from western Pennsylvania, we are used to the hills so this was a pleasant surprise.. It was extremely scenic with the beautiful trees and rolling hills. I thought it was very fair for every level of golf skills. The course was in OK shape. It is winter golf so we know it’s not going to be perfect. The golf carts could use a little TLC. We would definitely go back.

needs good sand in bunkers, but excellent otherwise

Had to wait with 3 other groups for a cart. Pace of play was terrible. Did not finish 18 holes because of slow play and waiting for cart. Staff giving out carts not very nice. Staff inside was nice.

Beautiful course. Well maintained. Best I've played recently.

The course was nice, well kept, challenging with friendly staff. Golf Clubhouse was sparse but provided some necessities such as beverages, snacks.

There’s no doubt I’m going to play here again, but what the heck happened today? No golf carts? We are waiting for people to come in. It’s crazy! Half the people at the course have their own cart. Kind of frustrated and I haven’t even teed off yet.

The greens on the front and back are in very good condition. Front fairways are hard pack with very little grass. Back nine fairways have a bit more cover and in better condition. The back nine is more challenging and a few holes are poorly designed. Overall, well worth the price we paid

in fairly good shape and the greens were in good shape. The course layout is very good with 5-6 very challenging holes. Good value for the price it cost to play.

Friendly staff as we were able to get out a little earlier. Course was in great shape. Left several birdies there for others to get.

Me and my friends love playing this course, but slow play seems to always be a problem. Whether it be fivesomes or groups that don’t know how to keep up with the group ahead or just don’t care. It would be nice to see a ranger on the course to have groups pick up the pace and not be afraid to tell them they need to pick up the pace. We’ve called the clubhouse before and nothing was done. No one even came out.

Overall the afternoon was enjoyable.

However there was an hour and ten minute wait for 2 golf carts! The staff was very apologetic and served us complimentary drinks, but we still barely finished before sunset.

This course has really nice fairways, tees and greens. Especially during the colder weather. The sand traps, rough and the facilities could use some work. Under the radar course that we thoroughly enjoyed.
