Great Golf Course if you hit straight!
First let me put this out there, i did not play a good round of golf when we were at the Champions Club, and this course kicked my butt. We played at 7:00 am and by eight i was drenched in sweat. Course is beautifully designed, but punishes you if you do not hit straight. Between the wetlands and homes, if you were not on the fairway, you probably lost your ball. I loved the greens, fast and challenging. My only complaint would be the maintenance staff were on every hole mowing or rolling and did not stop to let you play through on most holes and if they did stop, they did not get very far out of the way and were always in vision when hitting the ball. Not use to this, courses i play up north, the maintenance staff will always make sure to stop mower and get out of your sight path. A+ course and will play again.
Day of Golf
Other than the hour break due to rain, it was a good day of golf. Course drained well and was in good shape.
15 Year Return
I haven't played here in past 15 years. Course was in great shape. Greens rolled really quick. Only caught a group on 16 but kept a great pace. Staff super friendly from check in to the cart guys who cleaned my clubs. A gem that I will play every time when I am in town.
Champions Club
Course was in good shape and not busy. Greens could have been a little quicker. A ranger could have sped up the groups in front of us.
Will go back again
Rate was low due to aerating, but the greens were in good shape with no obvious signs of aeration. Fairway grass was in good shape and proper height. Enough water to make you cautious. The greens are faster than what we are used to, but we eventually figured them out.
Now that we know the course layout we plan to go back again soon. Hopefully of a little cooler day with a breeze. It was hot out there. (92)
Real tight golf course.
Greens were in great shape. Fairways were super tight in most places. The course itself was in great condition, just not for me.
