NICE AFTERNOON AT STONECREST
NICE DAY COURSE FINE SHAPE,FEW GREENS ON BACK ROUGH AROUND EDGES,OVER ALL COURSE FINE SHAPE,WORTH DRIVE FOR RIGHT PRICE, ONE SLOW GROUP IFEW GROUPS IN FRONT OF US PLAYING US OPEN, SUMTER COUNTY ADDITION. OVER ALL NICE DAY,PRO SHOP,CART MAN FANTASTIC. WILL BE BACK
Course is in good shape. New owners have made many improvements.
Course has been restored to original beauty and then some!
I'm a Stonecrest resident so perhaps am slightly biased but I've never seen the course in the condition it is in now. I was a guest of a member. It's clear the new ownership/management and Golf Pro have gone all in to make this a very special and fun course to play. I highly recommend you give this course a try again if you haven't played it in the last 3 months. The Pro Shop has been renovated and updated as well and the restaurant Cheers gets rave reviews from residents as well as folks outside of Stonecrest.

Not how I remember it
Tees were good, fairways good, rough acceptable, greens were ok but a few were getting rather sparse around the edges.
Great layout finally in nice shape
Played once again and confirm that the course is in great shape. Greens are still pretty sanded, but roll true and are on their way to looking good this winter. Only complaint? Way too much soap in the ball washers! Probably the reason for an errant drive or two!

Many improvements
Second time playing here in about 2 months. The course was in really nice shape. They have made several improvements since we were there last time. I definitely recommend playing there. I’m looking forward to going again very soon.
Much Improved
It was a pleasant surprise to see how much the course has improved from 4 to 5 months ago. This. Course was one of my favorites when we vacationed here now we have moved here and went out and played it in July or August and was very disappointed and said would never come back. We did play this past Sunday and I would recommend it to anyone it’s still improving but at least now it is playable with a vision of being beautiful again

I HAVE BEEN CHECKING THIS COURSE OUT FOR SEVERAL YEARS IN COMMENT SECTION GOLF NOW, MOST WERE COURSE NOT WORTH $10.00, GREENS TERRIBLE, CLUBHOUSE GREAT , NOW I SAW REVIEW FEW WEEKS AGO AND TOLD THE BOSS MY WIFE LETS TAKE RIDE AND CHECK IT OUT,WORSE CASE WE CAN STOP AT DQ, WELL LET ME TELL U THIS COURSE IS GREAT MOST FAIRWAYS LAND SMALL PLANE,GREENS GREAT, STAFF FANTASTIC, LITTLE SLOW WITH GROUPS IN FRONT PLAYING US OPEN, HOW EVER WILL BE BACK DQ WAS GREAT ALSO

Much Improved!
Thanks to new ownership, this course has gone through quite the transformation in the past six months. Tees, greens (with the exception of a few spots still healing) and fairways are in great condition. Great design with elevation changes not typical of a Florida course. Now better than ever and a great value. Well thought out improvements now make Stonecrest one of the best courses in the area. This course has suffered in the past, so it is great to play it once again in prime condition.
Course was very nice but I did not like paying you $10mwhen I could call and reserve a tee time for nothing!

Stonecrest GC is being Restored to Glory!!!
Now I never write reviews, but felt compelled to do so given the transformation of this course. The new owners took over this course less than a year ago and have done an AMAZING job bringing the course back to where I'm proud to call it my home course. We moved into Stonecrest 8 years ago and this is by far the best condition this course has been in. Just goes to show what lots of TLC can produce. Now there's still work to be done; however, I'd recommend if you haven't played Stonecrest GC in a while come on out...you'll be glad you did!
