Stonecrest GC is being Restored to Glory!!!
Now I never write reviews, but felt compelled to do so given the transformation of this course. The new owners took over this course less than a year ago and have done an AMAZING job bringing the course back to where I'm proud to call it my home course. We moved into Stonecrest 8 years ago and this is by far the best condition this course has been in. Just goes to show what lots of TLC can produce. Now there's still work to be done; however, I'd recommend if you haven't played Stonecrest GC in a while come on out...you'll be glad you did!
Interesting course
The course has new owners and they have really improved the condition of the course. It has always been one of my favorite courses around the area to play.
Stonecrest Golf course is in the best shape ever!
This course has improved 1000% from just a year ago, the fairways and tee boxes are in very good conditions. Most of the green are in good shape but a few need some TLC.
Need some TLC
The course layout is great. Some of the greens had damages and needed to be repaired. The course wasn’t in too bad of shape. But the greens could’ve been in better shape they didn’t roll true. I would play it again if they improved the green just a little bit more.
For Stonecrest Golf I'm unable to book as a single and apply my earned Golf Pass credits.
I think letting singles book thru the golf websites (golfnow / teeoff) would be a welcome adjustment.
The course is really showing signs of improvement. Enjoyed it so much we are playing again next week.
Golf Now / Course disconnect
We arrived to find that our confirmed tee time through Golf Now had not been received by Stonecrest. The Pro Shop was professional and. Because I had taken a screenshot of the reservation was able to honor the rate and got us out fairly quickly.
Hole #1 a Par 5 sets the tone for the course. You must be able to think about your shots. Greens are being enlarged as most are small. Liked the back nine better than front. No water stations on course but they provide a cool full of battled water at Pro Shop. I played the blue /white combo as this was my first time. Very reasonable.
Over priced & Greens are terrible
Great people in the shop, Course is a good layout with great par 3, Greens are in terrible shape and are slow like. shag carpeting and probably can't make a come back.They need to be blown up and redone. Green fees too high for the conditions of the greens.
They also No longer have deal times for single players. Its ashame, I played there 25 times last season.
Great Golf Course !
We thoroughly enjoyed this course and plan on coming back asap! We play top rated courses all over the US Europe- this ranks way up there!
Layout great, but greens are sketchy
Loved the layout of the course, challenging but fair. Staff was very accommodating getting us out in between two groups of ladies (it was ladies day) which we appreciated. They are working on the greens, but they have a ways to go. Fair value!!
