Lake Forest Golf Club

The course layout was good but it really needs water. Felt like I was playing on mostly packed sand, no grass to be seen anywhere. Did really poorly on the greens.

We missed out tee time, and I'm so glad we did. Walked up to the clubhouse, falling apart - seriously worried to walk inside. Did not even ask for a refund, wasn't worth it.

The course was terrible, the greens were slow and in poor condition. The hole placements were set up for professional players not amateurs. One of the men in the clubhouse was rude and disparaging comments about Golf Now and that they didn't make any amount of money from my round. I will not go there again. I have nothing but good things to say about Golf Now and will continue to.

We had tee time for 12:44 and we were not able to golf until 2 pm because of outing held there in the morning. Nobody notified us, it was horrible since we were the last ones coming off the course at 5:50 and could barely see our balls.

The greens were in terrible shape and the cart paths need work.

Staff isnt the friendliest, but you cant beat the price to play in the area.

Driving range was irons only!! Hitting box was so far back you couldn’t see any of the flags. Greens were really chunky.

Booked thru Golfnow Hot Deal. Starter let me play early as it was not busy. Good course condition at this time of the year.

....Were rough in some places...needs some TLC. Hard to put!

Considering this course is embedded in a very large subdivision it’s fair to expect it to be busy. What isn’t expected are the members who bypass the marshal and tee off wherever they choose, slowing down the pace-of-play even more, on what was already a busy weekend. While on course you would expect a marshal to ride through to make sure everyone is keeping a good pace as well. Easily had to wait 15-20 minutes on a majority of tee boxes and unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish the round because of how late it was, so I had to ride through the remaining 4 holes.

There were several patchy and sandy greens, and overall the course conditions have declined somewhat.

The highlight of the day for me was meeting two other players (father and son) who I paired up with half through the round. I normally dread having to pair up with “randos”, but they were chill and made the remainder of the round endurable.

It’s a standard neighborhood course with houses on either side of most of the holes. Staff was super friendly and helpful on what to expect throughout the day. I wasn’t a huge fan of the green conditions. They were not receptive to most shots and had a lot of burn spots on every green. It appears they haven’t tended to them in the off season. Other than that, it was a unique experience with #17 being my favorite hole. That hole is the reason I will be back again.

Overall, not a bad course for the money.

Played on Black Friday, they paired us with 2 other guys, so it was pretty busy. The fairways are very tight with houses and cars in driveways lining the course. We drove up from staying in Orange beach because the price of a round anywhere in that area are crazy high. The course is in decent shape and the greens roll okay. Good breakfast sandwich in the clubhouse.
