Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Not in great condition.

Greens were in good shape and average speed. Fairways were terrible.

Can afford to play

Easy to find. Easy check in. Clean carts with sand bottles and ball/club washers. Water for us at start. Water buckets for towels. Some of tees need serious leveling especially on the par 3’ s. Fairways pretty good. Roughs with sparse grass. Lots of desert. Bunkers have some dirt. Greens have been pretty good this year and generally not straight. Played in 4:10. Can’t take carts to car. Sometimes hard to turn left out of driveway late in the day

A decent $50 course

A decent $50 course but overpriced at $78 versus Lone Tree.

Desert dominated course

The course I challenging to play, mostly due to fairways that are not obvious or visible when teeming off. Played a lot from the desert rocks. Greens were in nice shape. Fairways needed some work.

Fun but not worth the money

Fun course and was not busy with snowbirds… we had 3 golfers, two 15 handicaps and my son who plays in from the 150 mark. We finished in just over 3 hours and did not rush anything. Greens were fun and well read, the only downside is the cost. This is not an $80-$90 course. That’s a greedy cash grab mindset leeching the snowbirds in the area. This is a course that should be $50-60 max. I’d be here every day if it was more reasonably priced.

Decent course

Good layout. Greens and tee boxes in excellent condition. Fairways are a little rough, grass hasn’t developed yet.

Reasonable Price

Only complaint was they went a little cheap on the fairway overseeding.

Goat track

Overcharged by about 30 dollars versus what golfnow said would be due at the course. Never again.

Fairly decent place to play

Easy to find. Easy check in. Prices have remained affordable. Carts cleaned and with ball and club washer and sand bottles. Water for us at start. Water buckets for towels. Number of tees are fairly uneven. Fairways pretty good. Roughs with some grass. Lots of desert. Bunkers with dirt that is generally playable played in just over 4 hours. Can’t take carts to car. Seems like less people playing all ready. Sometimes difficult to turn left out of driveway late in the day

First and last time to play this course

The course condition was okay The pace of play was ridiculous. Waited forever on every hole never saw a ranger try to speed anything up. On the 7th it was so slow the guys in front of us were laying on the tee box waiting for the twosome in front of them to hit. It was ridiculous I would ask for a refund or a credit but I never want to play that course again. Absolutely worse round of golf ever.
