About
Although there are many other desert golf courses in the Phoenix area, Apache Creek Golf Club offers one challenging championship course that requires the use of every club. The golf course features wide open fairways and undulating greens that are sloped back to front, some are also double-tiered. There are also numerous sand and grass bunkers protecting the fairways and greens. Extensive mounding on the course cause uneven lies and water hazards come into play on a few holes. The most difficult of the several demanding holes on this golf course, is the lengthy par-5, 10th hole. Apache Creek Golf Club also boasts two practice greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sand trap, and a large driving range with various targets.

Moving in the wrong direction
We have played this course numerous times in the past 10 years - it is always a challenge. Finding the fairways is always important, since there is almost no rough (dirt and waste areas make up the bulk of the acreage).
When we played on 1/6, the tee boxes, fairways, and (especially) the greens (very spotty, and hard) were basically in poor condition.
Certainly not worth $50 and 4 hours, when there are numerous other courses in the area that are in much better shape for the same (or slightly more $$$) We won't be back any time soon.
going down hill
This use to be a really nice golf course but the last few times we have played there it is in pretty sad shape. The cart paths are almost completely gone and the greens are in terrible. The only bright side is it is one of the least expensive courses in the valley.

Overseeing not good, course wet from too much watering. Greens fair but need more winter grass, too much dry Bermuda grass.

What Happened?
I'm so sorry to give a bad review as I really like the folks and the golf course at Apache Creek; however, the course is in awful condition for this time of year. Greens are sparse and patchy and the fairways are the same. Perhaps they have an irrigation issue, but honestly, if it's this bad in the heart of Arizona golf, they're going to lose the course when it starts getting hot. Hopefully, it gets fixed.

First time at Apache creek
The course played fast. Fairways allowed lots of run after the ball landed and the greens were fast. Tough pin placements made it very challenging.

Good course for the price
Pretty predicable track , descent greens the ruff is desert so bring a rock club , overall it’s challenging from that perspective and the greens are pretty consistent.

Worst experience I’ve had golfing
I went here for a cheap practice round with low expectations yet they still managed to disappoint. I arrive on the first tee and am about to hit when I get pelted with soil from the guy airating the green next to me. I had to run off the tee and the maintenance guy is sending chunks of the green all over the tee box at me with no notice. I yelled to get him to stop but he didn’t. On top of this they only had 9 holes open so I had to play the front 9 twice which was very boring (they didn’t have this info online so I found out as I show up). This led to random people cutting in front of me 3 separate times. Funny thing is I was a single playing ready golf so I have no idea how that happened. I figure they had no organization and just threw anybody onto the course that would be willing to deal with such awful conditions. I played golf for my high school and have been to many cheap courses to practice and enjoy an inexpensive round but I have never been to a course that was this aggravating.
Cannot Play This Course as a Single Golfer Anymore
It is very disappointing that this course will not accept single/solo players — a minimum of two is now required. This is not a smart idea by the decision-makers at the course. My guess is that income at this course is not overflowing — so why not fill-up every tee-time with paying golfers?
This very bad decision and the deteriorating golf-course conditions have led me to delete Apache Creek from my rotation.

Got taken for a ride!
This is the worse golf course I have played in my life. It would have been OK if the round was $20, but I got taken for a ride by either Golf Now or the Golf Course and stupid me paid $50. I should have taken more time researching this course, which has more dirt than grass throughout. Good luck finding the car paths and directions to the next hole. The only nice thing is the view to the mountains, but once you look around you, it's a downer.

Course Needs Help
This course was in horrible shape. Looks like it wasn’t watered, many dead patches on the fairway and tee boxes. I would be embarrassed if I owned this golf course and charged the amount they get to play here.

Horrible all the way around.
Paid $50 to be told at 1:00 p.m. that the grill was no longer making food. Played 9 holes before we got a refill from the beverage cart. Needless to say we never saw her again. Every trash basket on the course was overflowing with trash. No water in a single ball washing station. The course was dry and the greens in aweful condition. Played this course numerous times over the years and it was in much better shape. Could have played a better course for a better price very disappointed.
