I Recommend This Course
The sand traps are terrible. I'd suggest filling them in as they are full of rocks, clay, etc. Otherwise the course is in great shape.

Play the proper tees for your skill level and enjoy!
As a mature couple, Torres Blancas from the proper tees is the course for us. Has variety in the layout and provides opportunity to use several clubs in the bag. the course is well maintained and the greens are the right speed for the average golfer. Excellent desert layout.
The staff in the clubhouse, cart return, and restraurant are very helpful and friendly. Plan an afternoon of golf followed by dinner with your favorite beverage. you will be glad you did.

Course in Good Shape
Course is in really good shape. Fairways were lush and greens in good shape and fairly fast. Pace of play was O.K. but some groups definitely feel empowered to take as long as they want. They forget the old rule that you should be keeping up with the group in front of you.

Nice course
This course is currently in the best shape around GV, particularly since you can drive up to your ball. Fairways grew in nicely from overseed and greens are fast and true.

Torres Blancas
All in all it's in decent shape.
Sand traps are still dirt and pebbles with grass and weeds going out of some of them (no good excuse for that other than lack pride by course grounds crew and management for allowing that).
Rest of the course is much better than last fall when I flat quit going there because of lack of course maintenance.
It could be a really fun course if a little effort & pride was put into course maintenance.
Recommend to a friend only as a warm up course.
