Torres Blancas Golf Club

First time playing this course. Staff was great, pace of play was great. Course was in good shape. The sand traps were in need of a little work. We played on Sunday, tee time was 12:30 and the pro shop closed at 1 and the restaurant was not open so at the time we couldn't get water or used the bathroom. The guy working with the carts was awesome and brought use cold drinks at the turn. Would play it again probably not on Sunday afternoon.

If you played for free right now, it's still not a course I'd play any time soon.

Tremendous amount of work needed on the course.

Course was in good condition, recent rains make it very nice. Wonderful staff really make this course a joy to play.

Despite monsoon rains, the greens are so poorly maintained that accurate putting is impossible. Fairways are green but mowers must not be maintained because grass cut has pattern in it.

First cut along fairway edges is like deep rough.

On the positive side, tee boxes are soft and inserting a tee is easy.

Greens and fairways were not in good shape, either too much rain or too much sun.

What a difference a month makes. I played here last month and the course was in great condition. Weeds everywhere and un-mowed fairways. The greens are sandy green spots. Nothing but bumps and burned out grass. No beverage cart. Even though there wasn't anyone else playing, the front desk wouldn't let us go out until our tee time because we had hot deals.

They should pay you for playing this course. Greens are brown or bald after having the best monsoon month in years... Fairways look like Larry and his other brother Larry cut them missing huge swaths.... just off the course nothing but weeds. Not even worth the cheap summer rate. Played this course a long time ago and it was fine.... what a shame.

Fairways were good albeit wet from all the rain.

Roughs and peripheral areas were terrible. Need immediate maintenance. Course looks like it is bankruptcy and is declining badly since I last played it 5 months ago.

Playing Torres Blancas was such a great time for a 7 a.m. tee time. A beautiful golf course next to the Santa Cruz river with the Santa Rita mountains as a backdrop was wonderful. Very fair for the average golfer. Just after a week when the area had extensive rainfall I expected mosquitoes in plentiful numbers and came prepared. All the rain must have left the pesky bugs behind and left beautiful fairways behind and hairy greens. I'll take that any place. Friendly people and a nice place for a bite to eat and a bottle of brew after an amazing 18 holes. Be sure you take mosquito protection just in case they decide to return.

Too many knats from Pecan tree areas. Fairways great, bunkers horrible sand, greens were in process of being mowed but we had to putt back nine on thick grass.

Course ok mosquitoes were vicious but bug spray works.

Excellent pace, finished in 3 1/2hrs. Greens are in excellent shape and challenging but fair.

This could be a decent course with a small

Investment. Sand traps are useless as they are. I refuse to play out of them, many need drainage as they are full of wet mud. They are full of stones that will ruin a club face. And there is just a dusting of fine sand over compacted hard pan. Just need a good 2 to 3 inches if filtered sand. Lots of bare areas in fairways which will get worse during remaining hot AZ summer months but it would not take much to make this course enjoyable. Just being neglected. Very nice people.

Fairways and greens in excellent condition, only Slightly negative comment greens are slow other than that course fun to play

Course is in pretty good shape for the hot days of summer. The only thing that really needs improvement is the sand traps. They are in need of some sand or at least , rake them once in a while.
