Torres Blancas Golf Club

Fun course friendly staff. Well managed play. Played nine, due to frost delay. Usually play 18. Great time! Will of course play again.

Greens are better than three months ago. Traps are still ground under repair for us. On the up side, things have improved. On the down side, this is a $30 dollar course not a $65. Anywhere else, with competition, they would be out of business.

Unfortunately I was thoroughly disappointed in the course and management of it.

We pulled up to the #2 tee box only to have the 2 groups in front of us still there and waiting to tee off and this was only a Tuesday).

It never really got any better until around hole #13.

we had to wait to tee off & wait to hit our shots from the fairway on every hole until well into the back 9. On top of that, the sand traps were hard and looked like they had not been touched in 2 to 4 days. Some traps had golf ball & baseball sized rocks in them. (don't blame it on Covid that's a cop-out). Seems like the only thing that mattered was collecting money before players start there round. I've been thinking of buying a yearly pass but after my last few rounds there it's flat not worth the money they're asking. I live in Green Valley just down the street from the course .but would rather drive to Tucson and have far better choices with management teams that care about there patrons and there experience. It's Very obvious to myself & others that the Torres Blancas management needs to be replaced with someone who actually cares about there customers. I'm Really disappointed in the prices of the winter rates and inferior product provided for those kind of prices.

It could be a decent golf course with the proper management team in place or proper training how to run a quality golf course.

I will continue to play this course once in a while and if it deserves a bad review, it will get one. I would much prefer to write a good review so take some pride in your job and do the right thing to make this a decent golf course please.

Would I recommend this course to others? NO.

Not until changes are made for the better.

First time here ,my wife and I played in 3 & 1/2 hours. Liked the layout, challenging but fair. Golf shop lady very nice and starter helpful. One suggestion.: Tee numbers could be more clearly marked as well as on course signs pointing to next tee box. We got lost..

It was a beautiful day to be on the golf course. Pace of play on front 9 was perfect but on back nine did more waiting. Greens seemed slow, which I don't mind but hubby prefers speedier greens. Needed to be cut and rolled, as they were bumpy.

Overall course was in good shape and enjoyed the day.

Putting green in dire need of repairs, very bumpy in alot of areas. Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Alot of the greens have same issue as the putting green, very bumpy. Waited on most every tee box and fairway shot. Just a slow round but still under 4;15hrs. Course is very forgiving as long as you don't stray from fairways to much.

Would be nice if they spent some money and posted each tee box with hole number and yardages plus new paint markings on cart path. Good course just needs some love. Addressing a lot of simple little things could really raise courses reputation. I do enjoy playing Torres but would rather be able to say, I love playing it.

The bunker have had no attention as well as the rest of the course

This was my first time playing there. The fairways and greens were nice and green after the rains. Overall I thought the course was ordinary. I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay a $20 upcharge for a single cart.. The guy taking the money said carts were plentiful. He was also the starter. I did notice he could have sent me with a few twosomes playing ahead of my time. I would have then been the second cart in the group and not charged the extra fee.

The fairways are good, but the greens need more work (patchy).

Course is super nice - great layout and very playable.

Greens are not in good shape - they will accept a shot and hold - BUT they are not smooth and have many rough spots. A good putt can go off line because the greens are not true.

Greens Keeper needs to start working on the greens to get them rolling properly.

With Arizona the worst state for covid you would think they might allow single riders. But no, they force me to ride with a complete stranger who does not wear a mask.

Always enjoy playing this course. Only negative is the condition of the greens on mostly the front nine, very bumpy. Looks as though they may have had some freeze damage.
