Lake Arlington Golf Course
About
Owned by the city of Arlington, this course has been around since 1963–it’s located on the north edge of Lake Arlington and surrounded by native trees and wildflowers. Ralph Plummer designed this easy course, incorporating little water and no bunkers.
The first hole is one of the most difficult, playing over 400 yards into a dogleg-left fairway dominated by a huge pecan tree. Holes 13 and 14 play near the lake–the 13th goes 389 yards uphill and doglegs right, and the 14th measures 240 yards downhill to a green protected by water on the left side. Even though it’s a long par 3, there is a dramatic drop from tee to green.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-30 west and exit East Chase Pkwy. Turn left, travel about 4 miles, and you'll come to the intersection of Spur 303 and Green Oaks Blvd.

pretty nice layout. I like the par 3's
the staff that day was not very friendly, but we had a good time on the course. I play a lot of courses in the area, but don't play here very often. when you can get a good deal on golf now it's worth the money, but I think their daily rates are a little high.
Enjoyed playing here again
Have been here twice in the last month & enjoyed it both times. Good course for a learning player & even though the course was busy & a lot of people walk it, the pace was fine.
Will play it again for sure.
Really bad greens
The layout of the course is fun and challenging but when you make it to the green, you might as we'll pick up. The greens are awful
Great value for weekend golf. Paired with a 77 year old gentlemen who shot in the 70's with a couple birdies. Great day.

Course was ok.
Didn't have carts ready until 10 minutes to tee off. Guy at counter acted insulted we payed on Golf Now. Ok course, nothing great. No driving range. Better value at Tierra Verde!
lake arlington fun day of golf
I had not played this course in 25 years but remembered it being a fun course. What I had forgotten was it is really two courses. The front is flat and very open. The back nine for the first 3 holes is a totally different terrain with a spectacular view from the tee box of the 250 yard par 3. The hole played about 200 yards from the back tees which are just above Lake Arlington. The remaining holes are similar to the front with back to back par 5s after the par 3. The greens were very fast and difficult to read. Tee shots do requite some movement as many of the holes have trees overhanging the fairway. We finished in 4 hours on a Sunday morning, great value and pace of play.
Nice Course. Bad carts.
This course is always worth the GolfNow discounted price. I would not pay full price for this course for one simple reason, I have been here numerous times and I can not think of a time where there were not dead carts everywhere. Other than that I enjoy this course and I will continue to play here. Front nine is fairly simple but the course will get you back with some difficulty on the beginning of the back nine. I would recommend this course to everyone if you can grab the discounted price.
The course was challenging!
Great value for the money and set tee time according to your likings!
Great course
Great course, trees throughout, great challenges for shot placement. Great greens.
Sadistic Pin Placement
I love playing Lake Arlington, and usually enjoy the greens, but Saturday's play was a bit on the side of unfair. On one hole the pin was placed on the side of a slope. Three of us were putting for par, all within ten feet, a couple of us within six. The first guy putted to within six inches of the hole. The balled stopped, hesitated, and then rolled back six feet. Same thing for the second guy. And the third! We each ended up with either double bogie or triple bogie. Challenging pin placements are one thing; unfair placements are another. Similar placements on other holes. Left a bad taste in our mouthis (for this particular day).
Great course for the price
I played on a Sunday afternoon and only paid $20. Started at 3:45 and finished before 7:30 with a threesome. The greens are in good condition and the layout and length seem to be able to challenge any type of golfer.
The course was in very good shape considering the weather.
The fairways were in very god shape and the greens rolled very well.
This course is a good score builder, no sand traps and not many hazards.
Course is in great shape for August with the rains we have received. Greens roll true. There are not sand traps or many hazards on the course, although some of the fairways are pretty tight with trees lining both sides. A pretty good test of all of the clubs in your bag.

Great Time
Really enjoyed the course. The fairways were in great shape. Great value for the price.
Great beginner course
Just started playing golf three months ago. Great course for beginners. Wide fairways and no sand traps.
Fun course, a little hectic at times.
Lake Arlington was a very fun golf course. It has a few interesting holes on the back nine, and it was a good challenge for me (beginner). Everything was fine with the staff and the course, my only small complaint was traffic flow in a few areas. It is so busy on the weekend that the tee box is a little crowded on hole 1, but after you get moving the pace of play improves. Then there are several holes on the course that are right next to each other where we ended up waiting to tee off because of people playing from our fairway back onto their hole.
This wasn't too much of a concern, but it did slow the pace of play a few times when we had to wait for several players in a row to get back on their fairway.
Overall a fun course and I'll be back!
Great course! Fun time!
This course is great for golfers of all skill levels. It is very well maintained and enjoyable to play! The tee times are well spaced apart and I will be returning.
Nice greens
Very well maintained course with nice terrain. Nice views of lake on back nine.
