Lake Arlington Golf Course
About
Owned by the city of Arlington, this course has been around since 1963–it’s located on the north edge of Lake Arlington and surrounded by native trees and wildflowers. Ralph Plummer designed this easy course, incorporating little water and no bunkers.
The first hole is one of the most difficult, playing over 400 yards into a dogleg-left fairway dominated by a huge pecan tree. Holes 13 and 14 play near the lake–the 13th goes 389 yards uphill and doglegs right, and the 14th measures 240 yards downhill to a green protected by water on the left side. Even though it’s a long par 3, there is a dramatic drop from tee to green.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-30 west and exit East Chase Pkwy. Turn left, travel about 4 miles, and you'll come to the intersection of Spur 303 and Green Oaks Blvd.

Good Friday Play
Sunny but windy. Very busy but flow was ok. Course on good shape. Moderately challenging. Enjoyed the time.
Great value
Pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was in good condition considering it had rained for two days prior. Greens are in very good shape.
Very good conditions currently
Greens are great right now. Tee boxes were chewed up but still playable. About as good as it gets currently from my experience.
Good condition, no weekend cart refreshments
The course was in very good condition for this time of year. I was not happy with the staff because the course was empty and we were 30 minutes early and they would not allow us to go off even though no people were there until our GolfNow tee time.
Not a bad course.
Nice course .Greens are challenging for putting . I would play again. Only on hot deals . Its a little pricey otherwise. We were referred to as the" Golf Now " group when we checked in. I guess there's not many using Golf Now or something. It was a nice course.
Lake Arlington Golf Course
This course is fun and challenging. I love playing here because it has a good layout, the greens are in good shape and there’s no construction barriers out there anymore. The guys in the shop are extremely friendly and helpful. If you’ve never played there, I highly recommend it.
Excellent value
This course is a great value. Played on a Sunday, pretty busy but the pace of play was not bad at all. There are no bunkers on the course, but the layout was nice with a bit of challenge sprinkled in. The back nine plays more challenging than the front nine. Would play again if I'm in the area.
Nice challenging course
No complain, just kudos, ooops, except the carts. They are about to be or in the process of retirement...
Just short of great
Great layout for a short course (just 6610 yds from the tips. Was worried about pace of play but it was unwarranted. We finished in 4 hours flat, and it was busy. As with a majority of North Texas courses they did not have cart service, on a 100 degree day with 79% humidity. Seriously! I played in Colorado last week and every course had cart service XL (one cart for each 9). If LAGC would address that issue I'd rate the course much higher. Same goes for all other north Texas courses that have cart service issues.
Lake Arlinghton course
Greens had lot of weeds, affected ball some and speed. Fairways in pretty good shape.
Meh...
Considering I got to play for free it was fun. I don't know what the average price is to play here but I know I wouldn't pay it. Played with a group of 7 and our tee time was fairly early but the pace of play was still slow. Greens, fairways, and bunkers were all in good condition. The course layout though was awful. They have crammed 18 holes all on top of one another. Other people on the course were very rude. And there is no driving range. The Marshals got onto our group for pace of play when it was the twosome in front of us that was taking forever. Also there was construction going on all around the course. I wouldn't play again but hey you may enjoy it.
Narrow Fairways & Horrible Greens
I played with 2 buddies of mine on July 15, 2017, we are just recreational golfers and love to have a good time and play golf but this course was super disappointing. Two major problems is first the layout of the course is on top of each other. Each hole is right next to each other the only thing separating them part is about 25 yards of "rough" which therefore makes the fairway pretty narrow. Secondly, the greens are the worst I've been this year by far. Weeds absolutely everywhere, making the ball jump pretty high and inconsistent. The only bright spot the back 9 was a little better on greens and layout.
