Lake Arlington Golf Course
About
Owned by the city of Arlington, this course has been around since 1963–it’s located on the north edge of Lake Arlington and surrounded by native trees and wildflowers. Ralph Plummer designed this easy course, incorporating little water and no bunkers.
The first hole is one of the most difficult, playing over 400 yards into a dogleg-left fairway dominated by a huge pecan tree. Holes 13 and 14 play near the lake–the 13th goes 389 yards uphill and doglegs right, and the 14th measures 240 yards downhill to a green protected by water on the left side. Even though it’s a long par 3, there is a dramatic drop from tee to green.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-30 west and exit East Chase Pkwy. Turn left, travel about 4 miles, and you'll come to the intersection of Spur 303 and Green Oaks Blvd.

Lake Arlington
Great value for the price. Had two families with children was very
slow
City course
The course is way over priced and rated. It's the worse course in the area and cost as much as much nicer course. If I cant get on for 20 bucks I'll pass on playing this place. Greens were in decent shape and fairs were good. Tee boxs are all uneven and in bad shape. No practice facilities and food and beverage served cold in the center hot dogs. I live less then a mile away and only play this course once maybe twice a year. The old man group in the morning is so slow it's horrible and Marshall does nothing to speed up play.
Definitely going to come back!
This course was great! I will definitely be returning soon! The greens rolled very true and held! The fairways were nice! I love the layout with just about every hole lined with trees!
Good maintenances and round of the Hot sunday afternoon
Good maintenances and slow team players at hot and humid in Sunday afternoon.
Wish to City of Arlington consider more cool drinking water Jar or stations in the courses( other city courses had been good cool lwater .services) coming hot summer seasons.
Sevral electric water dispensers apply hot warter, weren't connected electricity.......
Thanks
Nice course, watch out for the rough.
I don't understand why you have to go all the way though the parking lot to get to the cart path. My biggest complaint is that the first cut of rough is 10" high. You can't find your ball if it barely rolls into it. There aren't the 200 or 250 yd and 150 yd markers I'm used to seeing. Being that it was my first (not my last, for sure) it was confusing which fairway belongs to the 1st tee. Some of the holes look farther from the tee than the stated yardage, so be sure to pay close attention to the scorecard.
Fun course
Lake Arlington Golf course is a fun course to play. I’ve enjoyed playing this course for the last thirty years.
First time to play here and the course was in great shape, some of the better greens I have played on this time of the year in the metroplex. I will come play here again for sure.
Good Friday Play
Sunny but windy. Very busy but flow was ok. Course on good shape. Moderately challenging. Enjoyed the time.
Great value
Pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was in good condition considering it had rained for two days prior. Greens are in very good shape.
Very good conditions currently
Greens are great right now. Tee boxes were chewed up but still playable. About as good as it gets currently from my experience.
Good condition, no weekend cart refreshments
The course was in very good condition for this time of year. I was not happy with the staff because the course was empty and we were 30 minutes early and they would not allow us to go off even though no people were there until our GolfNow tee time.
Not a bad course.
Nice course .Greens are challenging for putting . I would play again. Only on hot deals . Its a little pricey otherwise. We were referred to as the" Golf Now " group when we checked in. I guess there's not many using Golf Now or something. It was a nice course.
Lake Arlington Golf Course
This course is fun and challenging. I love playing here because it has a good layout, the greens are in good shape and there’s no construction barriers out there anymore. The guys in the shop are extremely friendly and helpful. If you’ve never played there, I highly recommend it.
Excellent value
This course is a great value. Played on a Sunday, pretty busy but the pace of play was not bad at all. There are no bunkers on the course, but the layout was nice with a bit of challenge sprinkled in. The back nine plays more challenging than the front nine. Would play again if I'm in the area.
Nice challenging course
No complain, just kudos, ooops, except the carts. They are about to be or in the process of retirement...
