Lake Arlington Golf Course
About
Owned by the city of Arlington, this course has been around since 1963–it’s located on the north edge of Lake Arlington and surrounded by native trees and wildflowers. Ralph Plummer designed this easy course, incorporating little water and no bunkers.
The first hole is one of the most difficult, playing over 400 yards into a dogleg-left fairway dominated by a huge pecan tree. Holes 13 and 14 play near the lake–the 13th goes 389 yards uphill and doglegs right, and the 14th measures 240 yards downhill to a green protected by water on the left side. Even though it’s a long par 3, there is a dramatic drop from tee to green.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-30 west and exit East Chase Pkwy. Turn left, travel about 4 miles, and you'll come to the intersection of Spur 303 and Green Oaks Blvd.

Long but overall good course
Course was great the only prob is that the par 3's were mostly long 180 to 230. Just this hurt scoring.
This course has a lot of character
Lake Arlington is a classic old course which requires you to hit fades and draws off the tee. Most of the fairways are narrow, lined with trees on both sides and favor a high ball hitter. The greens are in excellent shape and they roll very true. The greens are the best in Arlington.
Lake Arlington
Course is pretty wide open. Greens are in great shape for early spring. Fairways are still a little hard but overall a good day of golf.
Fun layout & great greens
Didn't realize I'd played before until I arrived at course. Better than average overall with some great holes and exceptional greens. I'd play again since easy to score well if you manage a few very challenging holes...
Great
Course was in great condition. Greens are the best I've ever seen for this course. Maybe because Ditto is closed.
41 on the front and 44 on the back.......glory be to God!
Lake Arlington
I enjoy playing Lake Arlington. I would consider this to be my home course because I live close by. This course makes me think about every shot and I use every club in my bag. The greens were challenging to read and made me think.
An old favorite
I grew up playing Lake Arlington Golf Course and Meadowbrook in Fort Worth. These courses haven't changed over the years and stay classically fun. Lake Arlington's front nine is very walkable, perfect for beginners and is just fun to play. The back nine is one of the better tests of golf in the area. The tee box view from No. 14 is one of the best in the metroplex. Conditions at Lake Arlington are very good....they do get a lot of play and will get more while Ditto is being redone by the City of Arlington. The amenities could be better, but the porch is nice. Staff is not particularly friendly to Golf Now clients, but as long as they take the reservations, I'll keep making them!
Open
Course is relatively straight and easy. Back nine a little more of a challenge than the front.
Cart sharing
Decided not to play due to the fact that even though there was no one on the course, pro shop was going to have me share a cart with someone I didn't know. Was going to charge me for my own cart since I had the discounted rate. Didn't think that was right. Won't be back.
Convenient course good for the money
Haven't played in a while. Though waiting on most tee boxes still finished in four hours on a Sunday morning round. Challenged to use most of the clubs in my bag. Overall a good experience.
Greens very nice
Coarse in great condition for a city coarse, greens were very good and fairways were in good shape for the hot conditions were having.Tee boxes moved up on 2 different holes that killed the fun of the holes but had a great time.
BoKnows
Great course for a Muni! Fairways are spectacular and greens are fast. Definitely will be back.
