Longwood Golf Club - Palmetto Course

Staff was nice informed us of inclement weather. Pace of play was great due to the weather. Usually a 4 hour pace, course conditions have improved greatly in the last year or so. Greens are brighter and well manicured, looks like people are repairing divots on greens now! Keep it up longwood :-)

The marshal told us on the 7th hole of post oak we needed to speed up because there were two holes open ahead of us. And the group behind us had complained to him even though they were always more than two shots behind us. At the end of the round I saw him as we were finishing and I let him know that we played in 4 hours and 15 minutes and didn't appreciate his only asking one group and not even asking us, his response was "too bad, I just do what I'm told..."

I don't play here often but I wanted to play, it was close to the house and the price was ok. I don't normally like coming over here to because the course isn't maintained all that well, which is a bummer because the layout is pretty nice. I played with a guy named Sid (great Guy) and on the 1st hole he told me that the people that owned Cypress Lakes bought Longwood, YEAH!!! The fairways looked pretty good the greens were definitely better than the last time I played, so I'm a little excited.

The courses is in fair good condition. Pace of play is just under 4 hours, with the money we pay, it is well worth it.

Course was in great condition. Just check in on tournament schedule, so you don't get backed up.

I've played this course about 15 times and have seen it in great condition and terrible condition. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because the management doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to people. The greens are fine, course overall is fine, but not for the price when dealing with traffic incompetence.

I had not played at this course in 2 years before yesterday because every time I went previously it would take 5-6 hours to get in a round.

Won't be going back.

Course was hosting a tournament and overbooked non-tournament players resulting in at least 6 foursomes waiting on the first hole on each of the three nines. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were full of weeds and bare spots. Longwood is the closest course from my home and I come back about once a year to see if there has been any improvement. After this unfortunately very typical experience at Longwood, I will not be giving it any more chances.

Course is ok but not in the best condition overall playable

Overall the course was in good condition. Greens a little bumpy but with the amount of rounds played, very understandable. A good value for the cost of a round. Will play there again soon.

the golf course has nice layout and clubhouse to sit to relax after round of golf. The par 5 is very short and the par 4 are long from the back tee box. the par three is very good holes.

Probably the poorest greens I have ever played on in my entire life.

Great time

This course is in great condition. It was crowded but the starter made sure everyone was at pace of play. The greens were well taken care of.

The Holes are fun, manageable and allow for some creative shots. Will definitely play here again.

They do not water the fairways, so expect a lot of roll. The greens are sanded. Putting is uneven at best. We were in front of a tournament; the pin positions were the most difficult, especially on the par 3 holes. No one in that tournament would win with a hole-in-one without hitting a career shot.
We were alone for most of the first 9 holes. They staggered the tournament players, so all of a sudden we had groups before us and behind us. The tournament players were taking a day from work and in no hurry to play. This caused a massive slow down on the back 9.
The course condition is a 5 on a scale of 10. It's playable but there are other courses in town that are in much better condition.

The staff is wonderful, always polite, friendly and with a smile. Marshall's are most helpful, and always within viewing distance from whichever hole you're on.
Beverage girls work hard making their "rounds"...and
tolerating those who choose to drink a little too much while out on the course.
Food is out of this world, especially the breakfast tacos! OMG

Saturday afternoon play was rather slow. Decent layout, but course was a littly dry and trampled down.

Pace of play was great.
We started on the Pines course and played the "back nine" on Palmetto. No starter was present on Palmetto #1 and we were hit in to on that hole by players who were starting their round on Palmetto #1.
Other than that, it was a good experience that I will do again.

greens are looking good, fairways are greens and soft. the course is looking real good right now.

Staff of Kevin and Johnathon were really great. Course was in great shape. Range was well kept. A++++
