Longwood Golf Club - Palmetto Course

Good course, challenging, friendly staff, good value for your money, pace of play average-longer on the weekends, food and drink average.

nice course, navigating from hole to hole can be confusing though.

I have played Longwood on numerous occasions throughout the year, and have always enjoyed my round. The weekend deal that includes breakfast, lunch and 2 drinks is a great value. The course is typically in good to very good condition and the staff is very friendly. My only 'bad' time was during some sort of local High School event when there were numerous carts with non-golfers cruising around doing their thing (what ever that was). It wasn't enough to keep me from returning tho!

Longwood is one of only few golf courses opened on Thanksgiving. We had frost delayed so we had a late start.We played the Palmetto and Post Oak. The course was in good shape considering the amount of rain fall the last few days and the cold temperature. There are still many wet areas and water collection in places. They just top-dressed the greens so putting was hard to judge the speed. Overall, the course has good layout, with trees and water come into play on many holes. We would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.

18 holes at Longwood for 9 dollars, how can you go wrong. I play Longwood often and enjoy all three nines. Course is in very good condition right now with all the recent rains and the greens have really come around. If you have not played it yet don't wait any longer, book a tee time and go play.

Better than average course for the money. They have a nice range, chipping & putting area. Course is challenging with lots of bunkers and water. There are days that I can play in 3 hours... Most are +4 hours.

Great layout. Greens and sand traps are in good shape.

Considering that 7 inches of rain fell the night before course held up really well.
Staff on he phone could've been a little more informative but aside from that everyone was friendly and helpful

I got a Hot Deal and the pricing was too good to pass up. I have played the course often before but never at such a good rate.

Fun courses. Some t boxes need more water and grass but overall still very nice.

I have a 10 handicap my brother has a 17 handicap, the course book a 80 yearold female beginer and her 78 husband to play with us. After 3 holes me and by brother were pestered my the marshals about our pace of play. WE directed them to the other couple and said it was not our falt. We were visited by 3 more marshals with the same problem. Needl less to say I got upset and lost my concintration. and had a horrible time. Will not return and warn evey golfer I kno to stay away.

Great time at Longwood. The greens are in excellent shape, the fairways are very dry due to the weather. The course Marshall moved us because the group ahead was slow. Very active management team at Longwood.

My son and I played Longwood as a special day since we had not played in over 6 years. The course is fairly well maintained considering the recent heat wave. Our biggest gripe was with the marshals and their excessive pushing. We were paired with another father/son. Both father/son pair were playing best ball. Throughout the whole round, we never had anyone waiting behind us yet we were constantly hounded by the marshals to speed up. At one point, we were approached 3 times across 2 holes. None of us spent long lining up our shots, we never looked for OB balls and were moving at what I considered to be a FAST pace. On the 12th hole, they came up and said "you're 7 minutes behind what you should be". My god, they have a stop watch on us! I completely understand the need for fast play when people are waiting but this was totally unreasonable. What was to be a relaxing time to enjoy time with my son turned into a stressful. There was another example of staff indifference but I'll spare making this a book. Suffice it to say, I'll never play this course again.

Nice trees, well kept, holes nicely separated with trees; greens were just aerated so not friendly but probably a temp issue

Very nice greens. Course has some challenging holes. To long to walk.

Enjoyed the rolling terrain in the fairways and on the greens. Keep the ball in the fairway or you are in for a long day. Can't wait to play the course again.

Course was in pretty good shape, but like the other comments the greens are a little slow. The starter had me wait because the group in front of me had a fourth that was not expected. Since I was a single I jumped in with another group. The group in front of them was slow on the greens. The course was just crowded
