No mosquitoes
Good course. Word is getting out as there were more people playing than I’ve ever seen. Mosquitos were a no show, which is a good thing. Wish they’d finish the clubhouse bar.
Double Loop Golf🔥
Double loop golf may well be the future. I thought the course was both fun and challenging. The greens were lightening quick but in great shape. The fairways were in good shape. The tee boxes were a little fluffy and need some TLC, but playable and better than many in the greater Houston area. Staff was awesome. Pace of play was tolerable for a Saturday. It’s a short golf course, but still good for all levels of golfer.
Great course
Just relocated to Baytown looking for a nice course to play up on. And I think I found my course. The staff was great very helpful. The other guys who were playing golf well very help With navigating myself around the course even offered a few tips. Very clean well organized place. Definitely will be going back. Even share the information and website with my crew back at home. Get them the brand new golf clubs to Baytown when they come out here.
Good course
It’s nice and challenging, sometimes the pace get terrible and staff don’t do too much but is good
Quick course, great value
Tee boxes are in good shape. The course has great upkeep, with the greens rolling pure. A few of the bunkers are unplayable at times, but it’s not a big deal.
Great day at Tabbs Bay golf course
This course is a hidden gym love to play it with friends or by myself. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They’re slowly bringing in furniture to create an atmosphere of dining and drinks at the 18th hole.
Hidden gem on the east side
Great greens well cap, fun course to play and practice
9-holes overlap
Layout Is confusing. Multiple past 3s back to back. Z50% dirt cart path. Trees have a thatch that’s too high requiring a longer tree. Drainage is poor. I’ll avoid this course especially for the price.
Fun but confusing
This course is fun to play, if you know layout. It is a 9 hole course but playing g twice to make 18 holes. If you play first time, you must ask staff members how to play.
Groundskeeping has been much better since I last played
Overall: 4/5
Everything was much more well maintained from the last time I played it back in March and April! Staff was very helpful and friendly as usual. Didn't have to deal with a swarm of mosquitoes unlike the summertime months, which is always great!
Pace of Play: 5/5 for Solo, 3/5 for Groups.
Solo play took me about 2hrs and 15min. I was able to find my golf balls much easier this go round while playing, no high grass. Despite this being my 3-4 time playing here, it still takes some getting used to since the tee boxes and fairways often overlap.
Course Difficulty: 3/5
Layout may be confusing for first-timers at this course, for reasons mentioned before. This course has wide fairways making it a good way to learn your shot shapes without losing a dozen golf balls in the woods... Hazards such as bunkers and water are reasonably spaced.
Amenities: 4/5
Course has clean bathrooms up front, A driving range and putting green for practicing. I do wish that there were divot sand stations to refill or swap out along the 9-shared 18 holes.
Changes since March/April 2024:
New name! (Formerly T-36) some slight renovations/addition of paved cart paths, still has its bumpy spots on gravel portions.
Horrendous Time
I didn’t know why this golf course had no stats or leven length of total yards! Well, it happens that they have gone through some renovations and shortened the golf course from 18 holes to a 9X2 set which sets a traffic jam and confusion. Hole #1 is also hole #10 and consequently. They have two greens that separates the hole and fairways for holes 3,4,5,6 7,8, are in the same area so you have to be careful not to hit someone or get hit. I will definitely not go back and I hope my compadres that like to get out and have a little fun, think twice before booking a $55. On twilight time…ridiculous!
Not the course in the pictures
I'm not sure what course is shown in these pictures but it's not anywhere around Houston. There are no mountains anywhere near Houston
