40 minutes behind pace
Told the ranger we were 25 minutes behind pace on 11 and he said the group ahead was on pace. We ended up playing 40 minutes beyond pace at 4 hours and 50 minutes. There was 2+ holes open in front of the group ahead of us. Otherwise it was a great experienc

Very Nice Public Course
This a fun course to play. Although there isn't any signature holes and any that are extremely difficult, the greens' slopes and speed make up for it. The greens were fast but fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes were a little chewed up but considering it's near the end of the season, this could be expected. Very nice course overall especially when considering it's run by the park district or village. I wish they would have had a beverage cart out on the course.

Would usually be a 5 but the people in front of us played extremely slow, even going as far as jumping the course fence to get a ball from the median and look for another for 10 minutes. Ranger told us they were on schedule which wasn’t true because the group behind us was on us before we teed of every time. Instead of telling the group ahead to hurry them told 2 groups to slow down. And peopel didn’t fix any divots today but that’s not on the course. Round took 4 hours 35 mins

Love this course
As usual the course was in great condition. Just disappointed on other people not repairing ball marks on the greens. Fixed at least 5 per green. Other than that it was an enjoyable round.

Very nice!
This course was very nice! We played on a hot day and there was no bev cart riding around which was crazy. But they did have plenty of water stations throughout. This course was challenging but very fun. Would love to come back soon!

Twilight round
Tee off at 4:30pm on Sunday
By that time the driving range was pretty beat up ….should have used the mats!
The overall course was in good shape but, the general public was not fixing their ball marks properly nor were they raking the traps after their use.
I think playing earlier in the day would be a different story.
Lastly the cafeteria was closed when we made the turn so nothing to eat! The
pro shop opened up and sold us a candy bar and something to drink which got us through the round.
Definitely coming back because it’s a local landmark course.

Classic Course Great Condition
We had such a great time at Phillips Park. The condition of the course and the greens was tremendous. I don’t know how you could not have a good time there.

Good course just too busy
Overall the course is great, but the pace is slow and makes it hard to enjoy.

Need better ranger
This place is great but the ranger was not enforcing the pace of play and made for an extremely long day. I understand not everyone is good at golf but you can’t be taking 3 shots every hole and redoing your short sided chip shots after you already finished putting it in. That’s just wrong.
