Good course just too busy
Overall the course is great, but the pace is slow and makes it hard to enjoy.

Need better ranger
This place is great but the ranger was not enforcing the pace of play and made for an extremely long day. I understand not everyone is good at golf but you can’t be taking 3 shots every hole and redoing your short sided chip shots after you already finished putting it in. That’s just wrong.

Phillps Park July 2, 2023
Always enjoy a round here - great value for money. We played in inclement weather with heavy rain on the first few holes. Course condition was excellent and ball continued to roll on fairways and greens. Only 5,900 yds from white tees but some great holes with elevations too (unusual for Chicago area!). Would recommend. Only downside is no real bar for post round drinks and beer cart is either scarce or non existent.

What a pleasant surprise
When I got there to hit some practice balls at 9:25 the course was crowded with golfers hitting balls, putting on the practice greens and I thought to my self, “this is going to be a long 18!” Much to my surprise it was not at all. We started at 11:10 and we finished at 2:30th. I couldn’t believe it. The course was in great shape and obviously the pace was perfect. A 5-star round except for the talent of the golfer. 😊

Good Course
It’s a good course, but there is lots of noise from the surrounding streets. Staff is friendly and accommodating. A little slow on the pace, but perfect for Father’s Day!

Slow lately
All of the rounds I've played this year have gone very slowly, most taking right around 4.5 hours due to slow play.
