Good course. Too windy!
We like this course and play quite often. Unfortunately, the day we chose to play, the wind was howling. Not their fault, of course. We will be back on a calmer day. The only complaint I have, is that the bunkers ar rock hard. If you are not going to keep them worked up, then why not grow grass in them and they just become a different type of hazard. Overall, a great course.
Good course.
We always enjoy this course, and will be back. Good value for the cost, and friendly staff. Except for the wind, we had a good round..
Rough shape but fun
The pictures are better than the reality as far as condition is concerned. Lots of bare dirt spots throughout the fairways. The pace was very good. No long waits in front or behind us. Had a very fun round. Course is certainly not difficult and has some nice generous front tees for shorter hitters. I will play this course again and hopefully many of the dirt areas will have been repaired
Fun and friendly
Played in 3.5 hours in a Saturday. Perfect weather, super friendly staff. Some bare spots but overall nice greens and very playable for a great price!
greens were fair fairways need work lots of bare ground
Very poor value
We played several other courses previously on our trip, and found them to be very good tracks. Huukan was the most expensive of all we played, and by far the worst. The starter was very good though. The fairways had many bare spots. Even when on the “fairway” we were often playing off of essentially hard mud. The course had a very tired, unmaintained feel to it. No beverage cart. My advice is don’t waste your money.
A work in progress
Huukan is a course in the process of being restored. Currently there is a lot of work to do but the course is playable. The layout is good. Small greens and some tight fairways. I would love to play here when they finish the restoration.
This course needs TLC
We booked this course as a "Hot Deal" so we got excellent value for the money. The course is in the process of rebuilding. The greens are n very good shape but the fairways have a lot of bare patches. Time and water should make a considerable difference. In the meantime, the posted rate is too high. Look for deals!
Casual player
It was a bit windy but good for practice ,they let us out early before our actual tee time had the course to ourselves there was a group on from and behind us but no one was pushing ,finished in 3hrs
Come on
Has I not got a good price form GolfNow this course would have been severely over priced...the fairways have been over seeded with what looks like winter rye, which is green, but the trouble is the Bermuda grass is so sparse you still have very poor surface to hit off of. This Course HAS NOT been taken care of for at least 3 years now...they need to close down and replant the fairways in late April and May if they want to fix the place...the greens can be ok with some work...I would not spend the dime to play here again until it has been fixed...there other course Mojave Resort is much better.
Upon arrival at 11am we were told that all carts had to be returned by 2pm. We played on an open course with no others in front of us. At 1;50pm while on the 17 tee the grounds keeper removed the flags and told us to return to the office. This was never revealed when making res. on line. The course was in terrible shape with many spotted dirt areas in the fairways and greens were the worst I've ever played on.
Great price!
Really enjoyed a relaxing day of golf, especially with the low price!! I can play 2 to 3 times a week at these rates! Nice to be retired!!
A hidden treasure
I've golfed many courses in the Bullhead City area, but didn't know this one existed until I saw it on golfnow.com. Maybe I'm too used to golfing public courses, but this felt a bit more upscale. The online booking was easy, and when we arrived the check in was friendly and quick. The golf cart has a built-in gps and came with an ice chest (which the put two bottled waters and packed it with ice for free.)
The course has some long 4 & 5 par holes with great great greens and tee boxes. Being in the desert there are some dry patches and bare dirt, but as long as you stay on the fairways you'll enjoy the cool green grass.
I recommend this course highly. Book online and look for coupons and you won't be disappointed!
