About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

course was as usual a fun straightforward round of golf. few beers to cool off helps.
the issue today was green condition.
usually the greens are reasonably paced and reasonably smooth.
today they were almost furry with very little pace. Also not very smooth especially around the holes.
maybe they weren't cut today or mower raised and certainly not rolled as bumpy.

Be Ready to Wait
The course was in great shape and everyone was friendly on a beautiful day but 2 hours and 45 minutes to play 9 holes tends to take some of the enjoyment out of things. The pace on the back nine was better as a couple groups must have dropped out finishing in 2 hours and 15 minutes for a five hour round of golf. Don't know what the holdup was but a course marshal for an occasional lap of the track might improve the pace of play. All other aspects were wonderful and having played the course several times before in just over 4 hours, perhaps this was an aberration. Thank you for the opportunity to play yur course.

Average price for delays
I booked the tee time thru T off.
We arrived early and they said there were pretty much on time .
Then we got ready to tee off …and they put in 3 ladies groups and a men’s group on front of us.
Then we also waited for our friends group who we knew was ahead of us .
So ….not happy about the 40 + minute delay …and there was no frost delay.
Very poor management and communication on their part

FAIR value for the money. IF you play in the heat of the day.
I'd like to know why, in the middle of the great Sonoran desert, hitting out of a bunker here is comparable to hitting off my kitchen floor. Where's the sand? We're surrounded by it in case you missed it! It's sad to see the money that is paid here everyday, is not being put back into upgrades and improvements of the course.
Like I said, good value for the money, IF you play during the heat of the day.

Fairways average, greens bad, some T boxes terrible. Golf cart trails need work! Palm tree's need trimming badly. I've been golfing this course for years, each year it gets worse., while they continue to raise prices. They don't support Junior golfers anymore, while all other courses in the area do.

Pace play very slow ! Noticed a five some several holes in front of us ! Course condition were ok but the cart paths need a lot of work ! Well try course again ! Good Luck

Fairways and greens excellent. Bunkers good. Rough poor, bumpy, bare, and lots of tree litter. Driving range was closed.

Wide open course but still proved a challenge. Lots of hidden bunkers and while the greens weren’t particularly fast, they proved a challenge to read.
