Haven at Haven Public Golf Club
About
Built along the Santa Cruz River, Haven Golf Course offers scenic views of the Santa Rita Mountains. Built in 1967, it is Green Valley’s oldest golf course and the only course in the area where walking is allowed. The landscape is covered with mature pines, palms, and eucalyptus trees. There are water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play, but overall the golf course has an enjoyable, player-friendly layout. In addition to the 18-hole course, the Haven Golf G.C. facility features a nine-hole, par-3 golf course called Tortuga. There is also a complete practice facility with all-grass hitting stations that provides excellent short game practice.

Got kicked off at hole 10
We arrived a 3 pm to play 18 holes. We told Jennifer we wanted to play 18 holes. She charged is $26 each plus we got lunch and drinks. It was $29 on Golfnow at the time. We got to hole 10 and they kicked us off saying we didn't pay for 18. There was almost nobody on the course. Very bummed and feeling ripped off. Manager didn't answer our calls.

Nice stroll.
I jumped on this $33 GP+ HD and used a credit. It was so nice, I chose to walk with my MGI Zip Navigator. John M. played the Yellow Tees and rode solo. During the back nine storms of the Santa Catalinas threatened but never our way. we finished in speedy time of about 3:45. Greens gave me some fits but not blaming the grass. Beverage cart was seen multiple times, and our group took advantage of it. We had some nice weekday, fast, fun.

Worth Walking
A buddy and I booked this on GP+ and were able to use a Hot Deal Credit which makes golf enjoyable when it's less that $1.50 per hole. The weather was nice, and the pace was speedy. Unusual storms were brewing above the nearby Santa Rita Mtns while we played the 2nd nine but they didn't threaten our game. We witnessed the beverage cart serve us 4 times during our round. Crews were working on a few places improving the course for the better.

You get what you pay for.
It’s an okay golf course. Mostly grass but a lot of dirt and mud.
