Mojave Resort Golf Club has a reputation for being one of the best courses in the tri-state area. The layout has a traditional design that combines desert golf with a classic links-style course for a unique golfing experience. The golf course has a fair amount of challenges but it's player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The fairways are nearly as wide as they are long, offering ample room that very forgiving if you're slightly errant. There are cleverly fingered bunkers framing the greens, which are made even trickier thanks to the subtle but tricky breaks. Water hazards come into play occasionally, including on the two finishing holes. The quality is on par with another popular golf course in the area, Laughlin Ranch. Although it's slightly less challenging, Mojave Resort Golf Club is just as scenic.

Weekend traffic jam

I remember now why I don't usually golf on weekends. Two groups of 5 ahead of us. No marshall. Didn't finish 18 even with a 12:30 tee off.

Cart shortage?

Starter would not give us a cart until our tee time which made the start of the round a bit hectic. Not sure if they were short on carts or what the issue was, we ended up with a dirty cart with a ripped seat for $75/player.

A warmer option for when Vegas is cold

Nice course with a variety of holes. Front 9 is much harder than the back and both finishing holes are VERY tough on both sides. This location is normally about 5-10 degrees warmer than Vegas and a good option for those colder months. The drive down there is amazing, people are friendly, seems to be a local hangout, not fancy by nice and the price is not high for the value.

Started nice, but ended with 30-40 mph winds!

The amenities are simple , but sufficient. The Food & Beverage manager, Kathy, was outstanding. She not only checked us in, but she made a mean breakfast burrito! The price was a little steep for the area, but not excessive. I will try the package with the hotel next time to hopefully reduce the cost. We were allowed to push up our tee time, due to the incoming weather and it helped us avoid the rain. It did NOT help us escape the high winds, but it was only for 10 holes later in the round. We played a combination of Black & Gold tees which made the playability enjoyable. The conditions were excellent and the layout was relatively unique & fair.

The best of desert golf

Came down from LV for three days of play, and was not disappointed. Quite the contrary, it’s a great course and I’ll be back.

Two dry days, a nighttime rain storm and clear third day and the greens held up fantastically. Fairways are great, tee boxes good considering they are there to get beat to death! Dormant grass (Bermuda?) surrounding it all was easy to play off of.

Course layout should challenge everyone.

Alsos: no ball-washers-bring a damp towel.

Cart service only available one day, but came thru three times during my mid-day round.

Staff was great.

And remember you are in the desert. Bring a refillable water bottle (not single-use) and chapstick.

Excellent

It may be the only golf course in Laughlin, but just across the river there is a couple other ones, but they do not compare to MOJAVE. Even if it’s a little bit windy, you can still tolerate it and have a great game, not like LAUGHLIN RANCH, or you pretty much have to quit, also the manager, Mike is an excellent person to deal with very helpful very friendly, BOB who works in the pro shop? Also is excellent with customer care and and dealing with customers if they have a problem, he will get it taken care of. I recommend this course to anybody that comes down here. It’s bang for your buck. You will not regret it and I hope the staff at MOJAVE stays for a while they are so much fun to be with, I golfed a total of seven rounds here I wish I was staying a little bit longer. Thank you NINO Paolucci .
