Although Las Vegas and Reno are the state's population centers, Nevada's best public golf courses stretch beyond those cities to the desert and the mountains. Nevada's best public golf courses can be found along famous landmarks like the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Tahoe and Lake Las Vegas.
GolfPass releases a Top 25 Public Golf Courses in Nevada every March thanks to YOU. We create our annual Golfers' Choice lists by curating the reviews submitted by everyday golfers. We use GolfPass' Ratings Index logic that weights newer reviews and combine it with a course's subcategory averages.
Each course needed at least two reviews and at least some public access to qualify. Unfortunately, the scenic Wolf Creek Golf Club only received one review in 2024, making it ineligible. We haven't received a review from the exclusive Shadow Creek Golf Club since 2019. If you believe these courses belong on our list, leave a review next time you tee it up. Elite private clubs like Clear Creek Tahoe and the Summit Club aren't eligible.
We make our Golfers' Choice best-of lists user friendly. Simply click on the photo of each course to learn more about the facility or to book a tee time (in most cases).

Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course
Green fee: $175-$425
What they're saying: "Beautiful course, The staff was great and over the top hospitality. The pace of play was great and overall a great experience!"- GolfPass Reviewer -
Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Wolf Course
Green fee: $109-$159
What they're saying: "I definitely recommend playing Wolf. I have now played 2 of the 3 18’s there. The course layout is fair, but the greens were extremely fast, which I normally like. I think I made one putt all day from outside 6 ft. Pace of play is the only complaint I would have. There were a couple of foursomes that backed things up. I generally play fast and even with the delays, finished in just over 4 hours." - jcparmer -
Incline Village - Championship Golf Course
Incline Village, NevadaResortGreen fee: $70-$170
What they're saying: " ... First thing I noticed was the swapping of the 9s which i like better and the course was in absolute perfect shape. The pace was a little slow at first but they had a marshall out and it picked up pretty quickly. Of course my nemesis hole is still out there just got a different number on it now. It used to be 16, the picture hole with the awesome view of (Lake) Tahoe. If i remember right it's 7 now. I think it's the view that takes out my concentration." - darylsimons -
Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Snow Mountain Course
Las Vegas, NevadaResortGreen fee: $109-$159
What they're saying: "I’ve played here 3 times in the past — course was fresh from overseed and was in spectacular condition - staff is amazing, pace of play was 4:10 minutes. Entire facility is probably best in Vegas for condition, views, play — highly recommend if you’re visiting or a local." - kingairca -
Wynn Golf Club
Green fee: $475-$750
What they're saying: "Service - absolutely top notch service. Everyone bends over backwards for anything you need. Charli our caddy was great. Personable and knew golf and the course.Course - layout is very fun and resorty... 6 par threes make it fun. 6700 yards from the tips so a fairly short course. Doesn't have a course rating for some reason so it doesn't show up in the ghin. Also strange. Condition was pretty good. Some places that needed to be resod or had just been resodded. The rye grass was burning up. I think they are getting ready to close to overseed it for fall. Greens were sneaky fast and pure. " - Snaphook417

Rio Secco Golf Club
Green fee: $246-$373
What they're saying: "I played Rio Secco on February 26th. I found the course to be in very good shape, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and the overall experience was excellent. It is a little bit of a drive from the Strip hotels but it is money and time well spent." - GolfPass Reviewer -
Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Sun Mountain Course
Green fee: $109-$159
What they're saying: "Always great playing any of the 3 courses here. Course is always in great shape. Secret is out.. Getting very busy. Very Challenging course." - DameonB -
Palmer at Oasis Golf Club
Green fee: $51-$150
What they're saying: "This was a pretty well laid-out, scenic course. Of course, most of the courses in Mesquite, NV have pretty nice views, so that’s no big surprise. Overall though this course was very enjoyable. As long as you play the correct tees, you should enjoy this track. It was definitely challenging, but not so much that you regretted playing it. It is part of a retirement community (I believe), since it seemed most people had their own customized golf carts. The staff in the pro shop, as well as the starter, were all very informative and very friendly. It was a beautiful day, albeit a bit windy. If you’re looking for a nice round of golf with a fair amount of difficulty, in Mesquite, this would certainly be your course." - jastroz -
Boulder Creek Golf Club
Boulder City, NevadaPublicGreen fee: $90-$130
What they're saying: "BC is the best course regarding value. You cannot beat conditions of the course vs. cost! Always in good shape, greens roll nice and quick and pace of play is typically fair. Nice practice area, staff is nice…food is decent. Highly recommend this course if you are a regular player. FYI, but the “Players Card” and you get great discount on golf and range!" - lvgolfat50 -

Mojave Resort Golf Club
Green fee: $68-$99
What they're saying: "Both my wife and I loved the rolling landscape, fairways and greens. Challenging small greens and pin placements. Front 9 is desert, resembling target courses, back 9 meanders through the housing. Roadrunners, quail, and other wildlife running all over. The course is very well managed, greens were perfect, staff was very friendly. One note.... Google is wrong! You enter the course on the east side, just north of the KOA Campground. Bring a few extra balls! The 17th is brutal with pin placement and water just 10 feet from the pin! 😁" - ronhankinson -
Red Hawk Golf and Resort - Hills Course
Green fee: $65-$163
What they're saying: "This is a beautiful course to play with amazing views! I just think all courses are getting to be overpriced and unless you’re making very good money, it’s hard to be able to play anything decent! Other than price, the course is fabulous, and I have played it many many times!" - markluvs2golf -
Siena Golf Club
Green fee: $80-$175
What they're saying: "We had a great experience there. Had a nice breakfast at the Bistro, got good deals in the pro shop, good pace of play. Course in really good shape. (Better) than two others we played in the area. Holes 12 through 15 (are) special. Good experience all around. Highly recommend." - GolfPass Reviewer -

What they're saying: "Stopped to play this course on the way to Bryce Canyon in UT! Falcon Ridge was an Absolute Gem, been wanting to play after passing by it last year. Staff was great, Lady at the Pro Shop checking us in was very welcoming which started the experience off great, Bernie the starter was the perfect starter for this place, and the Course was a Beautiful Layout with plush fairways & almost perfect greens! Falcon Ridge is Legit and for the price made a perfect round of golf. Lastly we had lunch at the Scotty's and it was delicious plus the service was great!
