Good layout tough course greens always a little slow

My wife and I live at The Villages in Florida where we have 630 golf holes. The Mohave Course was as good or even better than any we have and The Villages courses are very, very good.

The rough was fairly deep so keep the ball in the fairway.

In cart GPS system is very good and comes standard.

We used Golfnow.com to book our tee time and saved 50%. But even if we paid full price it would have been worth it.

I have always wanted to play Mojave when I take our annual visit to the Laughlin area.I played a few days after the course re-opened after over seeding. The staff was great and provided me with a good set of rental clubs.The course was in wonderful shape other than the bunkers aren't really 'sandy" and it took a while for us to figure out the slower greens. I enjoyed every hole and particularly #8 as I got my first hole in one there! Will definitely play at Mojave as many times as I can when in the area.

The course has wide fairways to allow a faster pace of play, because you don't have to be searching for your ball.

Nice course in great shape only prob I had was 115 degrees, they have is 2 bottles of water and ice chest but first water jug after teeing of was the 5th hole. Then the club house after that. The clubhouse and bar closed at 2pm.

This is an awesome course at a bargain price! Fairways and greens are well maintained. Greens roll well with good consistency. A lot of bunkers at play but the fairways are wide open and foregiving!

Bunkers however are not raked and look solid but there is plenty of wet sand underneath! Don't expect amenities - you are on your own in the heat!

Bring repellant to ward off squadrons of mosquitoes!

This was a very playable course for the average guy. Zipped through the front 9 then caught the pack in the backside due to groups slow play and no marshall to move them along. Otherwise a enjoyable round of golf. I look forward to doing it again

Very nice course. Drove there from Vegas, first time playing this course. Very good layout, a few tiered greens and large greens. Worth the drive. Happened to get on right after a tournament and was perfect, 3 hour round.

We picked a day that started with torrential rain and a tee time that looked questionable. Went to the course anyways and found the pro engaging and understanding. He suggested we go to the casino and wait, and sure enough the skies cleared and my wife and I had the round of our lives. Course was in perfect shape, greens were ideal, tee boxes, sand - everything was perfect. I would play this course every day for the rest of my life - thoroughly enjoyable and tough enough to really make you golf -LOVED IT!

Overall very good time. Pace of play too slow at some holes.

Good challenging course, although they need to invest in some sand for most of the traps.

nice course excellent condition except the sand traps were terrible I think all courses in the desert have bad sand traps

This is an excellent and challenging layout for golfers of all skill levels. What makes it that way are the strategic placement of bunkers throughout the course. Having said that, the actual condition of the traps is deplorable. There must be a reason for this but it would have been nice to be informed of this reason. Otherwise it just makes the maintenance look shoddy.

Course was in great shape. Fairway bunkers in play on a lot of the holes. be careful with club selection off the tee. Bunkers need some work. Greens not to fast. Lots of undulation. Will play again.

I had a great time. The fairway and some of the green traps were miserable. Mostly hard-packed dirt and unfair. Impossible to get under the ball so you had to pick it which punished you. Not so fun. A rototiller might help. The greens were challenging, the fairways were nice and green and filled out and the rough was lush. All in All a challenging course and a pleasure to play.

played a year ago and course was great and fun. this time the course was in terrible shape compared to before. no sand in any of the many traps and bunkers and the fairways were half brown and half green. was very disappointed.

Couse condition fair, greens a bit bumpy, fairways still sparse, bunkers need grooming. So many coots on par three, impossible to putt without hitting LOTS of coot doppings . REALLY!
Cannot recommend at this time, maybe if you get a great deal or course reseeding takes would be different.
Pro shop didn't have men's visor.

I have always loved playing this course. This time however I was disappointed in some of the course conditions. How hard is it to have someone go out and pull weeds in the bunkers and rake them? This should be a priority. The bunkers were so bad I could not even call them sand bunkers. They were more like hard dirt/mud. Greens were bumpy too. Please don't let this GEM of a golf course suffer like others have done in Laughlin. If it does, I will have continue on my journey through the Laughlin area without stopping like so many others have done in the past.

The course was not up to the condition of the previous times I have played it. 6 times in the past. Greens were thin and fringes a bit spotty. I understand that their winter overseed did not totally germinate and was cooked with unexpected hot weather.
