Huntmore Golf Club
About
Although Huntmore Golf Club is within 10 minutes drive of four other upscale championship courses, it manages to stand out with a scenic and formidable challenge. The golf course covers a diverse landscape, wandering through natural wetlands, hardwood forests, and across grassy open meadows. Water is a prominent feature throughout with at least a patch of marshland on almost every hole. Ribbons of fescue and native grasses border the generous fairways. There are also waste areas and large bunkers lurking alongside the lightning-fast greens. It is important to warm up before tackling the golf course since it opens with two difficult holes. The first hole is a challenging dogleg right that is impossible to cut. After that challenge, there is a par 4 with trees and bunkers that requires a carry past a narrow strip of marshland on the approach.

Yardage book please .....
Great course and fun to play, but much better if you know where to lay-up and hit off the tee (my 3rd time). I cant imagine playing this course without GPS and some course knowledge. I drove from Lansing and it is totally worth it. One of the better driving ranges as well i.e. real pins and trees and bunkers ect. I walked, but I think its important to note : electric carts not gas.
Greens were being worked on, etc.
The greens were being worked on & had been top-dressed with sand & had ridges in them so we got a lot of putts. There were also a lot of ball marks too. We like the course though & got a great deal that day money-wise.
course is in great shape clubhouse and parking lot are being updated
always a fun course to play challenging and cheap 20 bucks! thanks golf now! cart paths are still lacking but maybe with all the improvements...?
huntmore
Great course always in good shape. Its a pleasure playing here. One of my favorite courses. Have never had a problem getting around here in 3 1/2 hours take or add a few minutes either way
Great course
Well maintained and offers a challenge. Needs better maps to have a better understanding of each hole.
Course needs work
Decent layout, tee boxes were in bad shape with bare spots on just about every hole. Fairways were good in shape. The greens need attention but still rolled true and fast. Course is built around an partially completed housing community and the course seems incomplete as well. This course has potential with the great rolling greens but overall needs alot of work.
Challenging front nine with fast greens
The course is in good shape, the rangers do a good job of managing the first and tenth Tess. They could do more to move slow groups along. Fairways and greens are well maintained.
Nice place.
I enjoy this course....having played many times here, the greens this time needed some attentions, but usually a better the average course. enjoyabe. ill be back..
This course is a good test.
Has a good course layout for all skill level players.
Course offers both wide open fairways as well as holes where yOU expect to lose a ball.
I like this tract. I always plan on an extra sleeve (or two) of balls. It has a rural feel with plenty of length from the tips. Greens have always been in good condition when I've come to play.
This course has great features
huntmore g.c is very nice course. beautiful view, great green, fantastic each holls.
I lake huntmore golf course
What a hidden gem
I live in Livingston County and had no idea this place existed until I found it on Golfnow.com. What a great place! And on the day we played, the greens were like putting on marble.
A golf course for everyone - professioanl grade
I'm a 3.3 handicap index. Plush/tight fairways with doglegs and carries from the back tees and big/fast greens. 5 tee boxes, choose carefully as the slope rating from the back tees is 140+. The greens are a 12 on the stemp meter. Up north feel as you can not see the other holes. The greens are as fast as Forest Dunes in Roscommon, MI and The Bear at Grand Traverse Resort. A true golf experience with great pricing.
Great Course
Very challenging and well maintained course. Great range of play for all levels of golfers from different tee selections. Very friendly staff.
Great course for the money.
I play Huntmore twice a week. The course is in great condition and you can't be the rates.
Enjoyable course, Must keep ball in play, Great value for a great course
Course is scenic and challenging. Up North feel with a down home price. Excellent condition for low price, thats why I keep coming back. Nice staff
It gets better once you know the course.
An well maintained upscale course that weaves through an incomplete housing development. Most holes are isolated by woodland. Several holes have unusual fairway layouts (90 degree turns, waste areas crossing fairways) that may surprise the first time player, but once you play them, you can better manage distances. A challenging but fun course.
Nice upscale course
Well maintained course in a pretty setting - challenging to play. Have played several times as one of my favorites. Only concern can be pace of play - periodically, a round turns into 5 hours.
Toughest 5 starting holes in SE Mich
I love this place..
Great course layout. Hit a bad shot, expect to pay for it. Challenging. Up north feel. Great greens. Just a great place!
