Disappointed
I’ve played IH (Ike) several times over the last two years. I always look forward to great course and great conditions. This was my first round back in 10 months. The greens were terrible. Very slow and very bumpy. The rest of the course was so so. I won’t be back until cooler weather and faster/smoother greens
Bring the greens up to par please
I love both courses and layouts...you almost can't touch it in the LA basin area for price to quality ratio. But, my visit yesterday was marred with hairy, slow and inconsistent greens. Tee to green was solid and pace of play was good, the smoke well that's another story. But the greens consistently were just terrible. Roll them and mow them for a weekend. It made the whole day a disappointment. It'd also be nice to have the grounds peeps at lease rake the sand traps daily if they are not going to leave the rakes out due to Covid-19. Traps also need to be "refreshed" and made a bit more consistent, at least around the greens. Love t
Great course
Played the ike when it opened many years ago, now they have smoothed out the layout so it is very playable. It is only about 5 strokes harder than the babe and its all due to the greens. The greens are very hard to read and were slowish the day we played. We played for $64 incl seperate carts on a weekday. Pace of play was excellent as expected and course conditions were as expected for august. Cant wait to play again when we get a deal.
One of the better public LA courses
Overall good condition. Bunkers could be better but pretty good. Fun layout. Interesting holes. Challenging at times but some easy holes too. Some nice views.
Fairways are dry. Greens are bumpy and slow.
One of my favorite courses in SoCal is just meh right now. Needs water and intentionality. Also, pro shop should be honest about fairways. I love it here and will be back in a few months.
Return of the hacker
Played this wonderful course 2 times within 2 weeks and I heard lots about this course over the years. Played the Babe 15 years ago, but always wanted to give this course a try. US open qualifier course and I can see why. Visually deceptive, long and greens can be challenging. They had the tees up 30 yards, which allowed me to have many scoring clubs into the greens. Bunkers were firm sand and the rough cut low. Fairways seemed spongy.
Greens and Tee boxes need major work
The potential of this course is there. Challenging layout and design, I found the fairway and bunkers to be in decent to good condition. The ruff was thick, and the grounds themselves were well manicured.
The tee boxes, (played from the blue tees) were some of the worst I’ve ever encountered, on a couple the grass reached where my ball was teed up to, and almost none of them are level.
The greens were some of the worst I’ve played on in California, and that’s really saying something. It was like putting on the fairway. They clearly hadn’t been mowed in days, and on literally every single green I had to fix no less than 3 or 4 ball divots in my line. They need to at least add a sign that encourages people to do that. I wasn’t aware that golfers exist who don’t repair their own ball divot but apparently they do and unfortunately for Industry Hills they ALL play there.
Fun and Enjoy
I was playing with my friend. It was really great golf course. Ty
VERY CLEAN AND MAINTAINED
We played the Ike course. It was somewhat challenging which made for a great golf day. The person handing out the keys to the cart was a little rude but nothing too outlandish. I would definitely recommend this course to others. However, it is booked constantly. Get in when you can.
Very nice course
Layout is fun and challenging. Conditions were pretty good. Only downside was no beverage cart service and snack shop at the turn was not open.
Hi, I wanted to play here for the first time but I was wondering, are the cups on the greens raised?
Thank you!
