2nd hole - 200 yds lay up at the water front or drive the green if your first name is Rory. Photo submitted by jtsunnyday on 03/20/2019
A good day, very nice course.
Greens were super, but hard to read. Some challenging tees shots. Super views from a couple of the tees.
Run off areas in front of greens were very wet.
This is a course you play all the time and never get bored. Good track....
very poor field staffs
when we were playing, course maintenance staffs
hold the hole in 15 minutes saying they are working
on green. They did'nt say nothing about it and very
impolite and rude.
Nice course but no enforcement
Course was basically empty besides the groups in front of me. 1 or 2 four somes backed up the entire course and round still took close to 5 hours.
Overall, that was disappointing that there wasn't even a group for every hole but it still took 5 hours to play.
Other then that, amazing course. I would probably remove the blue Tee's so people can't play it at 6800+ on the weekend.
Great layout and good conditions
Always a course favorite. Course in good condition but a little bit drier than usual.
Been a while
Haven’t played this course in over 15yrs. It was a challenge then and still a challenge now. Greens rolled well and held iron shots. Fairways were in good shape. Coming back again
Good when good, bad when bad
....The title says it all. Industry Hills is one of the best golf courses in SoCal, when the conditions are on point. Ike is undergoing a major transition to Bermuda grass and the fairways are completely dead right now and it's cart pat only on 10 holes.
We played the babe side today and it was just ok. I've seen it in much better shape, but also worse shape. The greens are pure right now, however they were recently top dressed and there is loose wet sand everywhere! Only noticed this effect 2-3 putts during the round, but still not the most ideal thing. This really factored wedges and approach shots. You could literally attack nearly every pin, because the balls practically plugged. Shot an average 4 over par, round 75 today, Pace of play was the biggest issue today, we teed off at 8:40 and finished at 1:10. Not TERRIBLE given it's a public track, but my god the group in front of us was AWFUL! Bad play is one thing, but bad play on top of all four guys standing to in the same place to watch a shot and all taking a look at the same putt......course marshall sat and watched them twice, but never said a word even after our prompting.
Under construction
Call before you book when using GolfNow. These courses are discounted because of aeration or major course issues. After 4 courses booked here, we have learned our lesson.
Sod pulled throughout the course. When i asked why i didn't know when booking they claimed it was in the description. Took screenshots, it wasn't. The guy was rude and didn't give a you know what about my complaint. One hole had to be skipped all together. Also on the couple holes that were open, the grounds keepers where mowing and watering at 9 in the morning. Seriously? Do that earlier. I've played both courses and don't see a need to ever go back again. I can golf anywhere thought out was a great value for $60 but Aster all of this I'm owed money back.
Terrible!Terrible!Terrible!
There was no grass on the fairways.
The workers held me up more than 15 min to fix up the green one of par3 hole. without any words.
The workers were having barbecue around green
and blocked their trucks right in front of playing.
How can they charge this kind of gllf course..
I can't believe it.
Terribly Wrong
I couldn't believe what is happening to the Ike so early in August. They're stripping away the old grass in the fairways and will be re-seeding. And I can understand why...the fairways have so many dead spots either from over watering or fungus. It was perfect about 2-3 months ago and can't understand how it went downhill in such a short time. It won't be until maybe December before it's worth playing...I don't think the Babe will undergo this process but if it does then we'll have to take Industry hills out of the rotation for awhile.
Oh how the mighty have fallen
This place used to be great. When you live in Los Angeles and all you had to choose from are Muni’s, you really count on places like Angeles national or industry hills to give you a better experience. Nicer lush fairways and faster greens.
That used to be the case but neither course can say this anymore Angeles national was always a bit wonky and too expensive but industry hills always had awesome conditions even in the middle of summer. As of now there is barely any grass to hit off of. It’s worth about $25.
Take my advice and do not bother to play till things improve.
I like Ike
I played early morning, so we didn’t have to wait at all. That’s what I like! The layout is great. The greens were excellent. The fairways were horrible. The horrible thin brown fairways took a lot of enjoyment from the round. I played the Babe course the day before, and it was in better shape than Ike; and Ike costs twice as much. If your course isn’t in premium condition, don’t charge premium rates.
Reasonable price for a great course
Course in great condition.
Great practice areas.
Very nice resort, restaurants, and bars.
Highly recommend.
Enjoy!
Not good value
I have played at industry hills a number of times over the past year. The course is one of the more challenging nice courses than in the neighborhood. But overall, i think its priced more than it should be. We played today and most holes on the back 9 were being worked on with manure, and the greens and the fairways were almost unplayable and conditions were unsanitary. It was impossible not to get the shoes soiled and the putting greens had manure on them from shoes.. A notice or reduced price should be offered when the course is being worked on.
Longest day ever
Out after 12 holes and 4 hours. Waiting on every shot. Greens slow and bumpy. Carts are falling apart. Staff not helpful. No marshals on the course. Manager very dismissive. Now I understand why golf is dying everywhere. I’ll stay at my home club next time I get invited to play industry hills.
Pristine condition, heavenly fairway, difficult greens ,breath taking view
One of the best condition course I have played. The place hosted U.S. Open qualify and LPGA events in the past. Expect to see many great young golfers here. For the price, this is golf heaven.
