Very enjoyable round(s)!
Hadn't played Industry Hills for many years, but this was a very welcome return. The course is in really terrific shape, perhaps because we've actually had some rain in SoCal lately, and played really nicely. The greens had been aerated and sanded, but that was very prominent when I booked the tee time so I was prepared for it. Not sure if that affected the pricing, but I felt the greens fee was really reasonable for this course. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful, and the course was more interesting and fun than I remembered. The views were tremendous as well, which was a real surprise! The only (minor) critique I would have is that they should really take a look a their wayfinding signage around the course - they have lots on intertwining cart paths, and without knowing where I was going I made wrong turns a couple of times - signs were either missing or ambiguous. Should be an easy fix, and something which is a reasonable expectation for a course of this caliber.
This turned out to be a great course
I wasn't sure about Industry Hills when I booked our tee time but this turned out to be a great course. The wide fairways gave me a lot of confidence off the tee and the green complexes were intricate to make this a challenging course. Course conditions were great.
Phenomenal course
Never seen it in better condition it's truly a tour course price is right
Great course
After the rains we have had here in SoCal, the course is in great shape. The rough is a little longer than usual and the greens are a bit slower, but overall it does not disappoint. Although rounds at Industry are usually a bit slower than other courses, yesterday was fantastic. 18 on the "Ike" in under 4 hours.
tough when wet
it was tough out there, but this course is really cool. LOTS of elevation changes. pretty much every shot is significantly up or downhill. you need to really have your yardages dialed to succeed here.
this day was cold and super wet, so the course played extra long. i was hitting 5 and 4 irons into elevated (or de-elevated?) greens all day. not a good recipe for success.
very much worth the money to play here. hence the extremely slow play. good luck!
Industry Hills "Ike" Revisited
The golf course was in immaculate condition, just like my first round in 1980, the greens had a slower pace which was appreciated, you could skin them and make it impossible, so I was thankful for their pace. It was wet the day we played and rained a little in the afternoon, but all in all it was an enjoyable experience. Me and my son played as a twosome (his first time) and I was telling him of my days of trying to qualify for the U.S. Open and about other pros that played here and couldn't break 90, they had a shrub along the fairways back then and if you got off the fairway even a foot off your ball was lost forever. All of that has been removed now and some of greens made more playable.
I will be playing many more rounds here in the days to come.
P.S. I wish they would get the cable cars operating again. They were an additional treat, kind of like a Disneyland ride, a unique experience.
Really good course to play.
Both courses are in really good shape.
Always well looked after and the greens roll well.
Both courses are well layed out, some really enjoyable golf holes to play and see.
Both courses are challenging so play the tees that match your ability.
Highly recommend these courses to play.
Worth the drive and money.
Although I would say the pricing would stop me going and playing on a regular basis.
Great Course
One of the nicest courses I've placed since moving to SoCal. Excellent condition all around! Will definitely be back!
Wet but fun
It is a little wet and drizzle all day, pace of play is very good, we finished the round little over 3 hours.
Tough course but worth the anguish
This is a big boys golf course but it is not tricked up. Keep it in the fairway and shoot for the middle of the greens and you can score here. Course was a little ragged when we played because of all the rain but is usually in pristine condition.
PP is where's at
Great course awesome green just a great layout,a must play course if you haven't played
Ike is a Great Courese
Played 9 of 18 holes in the pouring rain an still immensely enjoyed the Ike course. The property is beautiful, the course has a great mix of views and challenges. Well maintained with friendly staff. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back. Book in advance.
Too many slow players, can barely finish 9 holes before it got dark, recommend they shouldn't let people book tee time too close
Golfing at Industry Hills
Industry Hills is one of my favorite courses in SoCal. The pace of play was a bit slow but we were still able to finish within 5 hours.
The course was in amazing shape and only wish my front nine could have been as great as to the course conditions .
