Fairways and greens almost PGA level
We have had a lot of rain recently and you can really tell. The course is in excellent shape both greens and fairways. Do bring some mosquito repellant if you play later in the day or there has been some recent rain.
Great deal nice course.
Great deal course was in good shape. I would golf here again
Challenging course, very nice clubhouse.
Challenging course. Longer than I am used to. Make sure to book your round through Golf Now to get the best discount. South of the city of Melbourne, worth seeking out for some variety in your golf routine.
The course is in great shape
Course in great shape, holes are challenging, but doable, although may be difficult for a beginner, but it is a pretty and well kept up course.
Greens were in great shape!
Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Course is in good condition. I would recommend going.
Choose which tees you play from wisely-Macho is not a good idea
You can warm up on two nicely manicured greens and the hitting area gave you plenty of room to practice all of your clubs before you begin play.
This course provides a thinking player with rewards. You can not bomb it off of every tee. Water and sand traps are very strategically placed. And you need to figure out how far it is to trouble.
The par 3's are not to difficult and give some sort of a reprieve.
The greens were at a nice speed and were pretty flat.
The club house and bar area were very nice with nostalgic photos of" the greats" decorating the walls.
The pro shop was minimal in regards to new equipment
Some challenging holes
Course is in pretty good shape. The greens had just been aerated but did not roll bad.
Best course I've played on in years. Absolutely fantastic golf day.
While visiting our daughter in Palm Bay, FL (who's having a baby) on our vacation this summer, I decided to look up golf courses on "Golf Now". The Majors at Bayside Lakes appeared to be the choice of the day. I booked a tee-time that was easily honored by the most friendliest staff. I played with 3 guys who were just as friendly and hospitable as the Host course. After playing the course, I was thoroughly amazed at how much fun I'd been missing playing and living in Washington DC area. Pristine condition from tee to greens, every hole. I will definitely be back next summer. Who knows, I might even move to Palm Bay, teach grand-daughters 2yrs/1month old this grand old game.
Great Facilty
Good practice area and a great track - some tough par 4's but fair. A course you need to 'learn' - some holes are tricky the first time around.
A fun course
The design is fun with some challenging hole. Wide fairways make it easier to stay in the fairway. Greens for the most part were very good! A few had some bare spots on them.
Love the layout. Great bang for the buck
Although some of the rough areas are not maintained, The greens, tees and fairways are fine. Always a good test.
Although the rough has an assortment of weeds, It is not where your ball is supposed to be!!
Love the Majors but they screwed up this Sunday
I play the Majors a few times a month but this time they seemed to double book the course. Instead of telling us when we were paying, we found this out when we drove up to the starters station to see 25+ kids with their push carts waiting to take off. Obviously the course made a mistake, but the starter was unfriendly and some people turned around and got their money back.
I still wanted to golf so we went out and played on a beautiful day. Usually the course is much more pleasant.
The Majors is a major experience
Great challenging course, exceptional design, good condition, fun to play, never gets boring.
Tough course on a windy day.
If the wind is in your face on hole 3, bad news!
Wish we had known ahead of time that the league came in at 5:15. Wouldn't have booked a 2:30 T time.
Well worth the money
Some holes very challenging, Course in great shape. Some greens faster than others
A course for better golfers
While I enjoyed the experience, it is not a course for the beginner and could not stay within my 17 handicap. Maybe another visit would help with some local knowledge.
Course is suffering due to the drought in the area
I used to love this course and play it frequently, but since they changed some hole layouts to add more housing adjacent to the course, it lost some of its luster to me. Way too easy to lose golf balls on this course though. The drought we've had this winter has left many areas that should be grassy or water hazards as barren, sandy areas, though the greens have been well-maintained despite the shortage of natural watering.
The Majors
The course was in good condition and the service and food was excellent.
A very good, challenging course.
The Majors is a variable terrain course requiring optimum placement of drives and approaches to the greens.
The green are in good condition. The speed of the greens would be moderately fast (when we played the greens hadn't been mowed so the pace was slower).
Overall, our foursome, enjoyed the course and we have returned to play the course on April 12.
course needs some work
Pace was good sand traps where hard as a rock fairways are fair condition.
