About

Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 6782 yards
Slope 129
Rating 72.7

Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.

Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.

Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.

Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.

Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Beautiful

Was cat path only but even with that, it wasn't bad at all. I absolutely love this course and didn't let me down with a great day of challenging golf.

It was very wet and cart path only. The course is in excellent condition. Greens roll true and got faster as they dried out.

Enjoyed replica Great holes

It was fun playing some of the great holes that you only get to see on tv. Amen corner was fun! Play was slow but think this was mainly due to a group ahead of us that was insisting on playing the tips without the skill. Course was in good shape. Greens were pretty slow which made the holes way easier than what the pros deal with. Thunderstorm chased us off after 15 but played the island green one more time on the way in to the clubhouse so that made up for it.

Value to Cost LOW

For $100 per round the course conditions were beliw par. The starter was not friendly. The Marshall hurried us based on a double in front of us even though we were ahead of standard pace. Many brown patches on the fairway. Greens are sometimes 4-wheel drive off road conditions. And, there is NO SIGNAGE to the holes!

Great place & friendly staff

Wasn’t sure about the track from some of the reviews I read prior to the booking but thought we’d give it a shot. Was pleasantly surprised and the course was in fabulous shape. My only negatives, some of the tee boxes need a major over haul and green side bunkers need a spruce up. Fairways, second cup and greens were in awesome shape.

Well play it again when back in town.

Great round with my son in the sun

Typical Houston summer day, hot and muggy. Course was in great condition (not the case in the past). Architectural details are due for some maintenance (will the "bridge" to 7 ever be fixed?), but course played well and we had a great round. Deer everywhere.

Very Beautiful Course - Well Maintained

This was a gorgeous golf course. Lots of beautiful scenery, and beautiful cart rides to the next holes. It was challenging for me as well, but friendly simultaneously. Don’t hesitate to play here.

6 Hours!!!

The course is kool with regard to the layout. That being said, the pace was so bad that it became UN enjoyable ! Temps in 90s with no cart girl ??? She finally showed up on 9th hole complaining of cart trouble. Tee boxes are really beat up. Bunkers fair. The greens were very good though. For the amount they are charging they need to space out the times more so the course can be enjoyed for the novelty that it is. Or the marshaller needs to do their freaking job!! Unless they fix the pace I’d say no way on a weekend, especially for what they are charging. Fix tee boxes too they need work!
