About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Fun Course
Best public course in Houston area! Very interesting holes and usually great conditions. Needing a little rain for sure. Pace of play can be slow at times. Some “players” need to pick up the pace!
Course is in good shape ....
overall it's a good round esp. at the price i paid. things that were not up to the expectations: had encounters with maintenance workers on quite a few holes (distraction by their presence and the noise of the tools), no drink service or water supply on the course on a hot day.
Nice course
Probably 12-15 years since I last played this course. I've lived outside the country for the last 10 years. It's still in nice shape, but could definitely use some air conditioning from June 1 to late October. The balance of open fairway space, reasonably structured rough and manicured greens make this a good choice for most levels of golfer experience.
Looks a bit overgrown
Tour 18 is one of my favorite courses, it had always been impeccable. On this occasion, finding the balls outside the fairway was very difficult, the grass is very long.
Excellent
Only issue we were held up by a group in front who had young kids. They wouldn’t let us through, until the 15th hole.
fun course
Course was in great condition except for bunkers. Bunkers were full of water. Not the course's fault. Fairways and greens are in great condition. Greens rolled true throughout.
Fun to play the famous golf holes
I have played this course before. It was in better condition this time. The greens were great and the speed was excellent. They had some rain so there was accumulated grass in the fairways. That was the only disappointment. The driving range just okay and the practice putting green was adequate. It was good fun to play the famous golf holes. I would definitely play it again and look to improve my score. 39,44.
Front Fairways Need Cutting
Overall enjoyed course. Could only see top of ball in middle of fairway on several holes.
Great Shape
Course was kept in great shape, i’ve played here several times, but this las time was immaculate. Also good food!
PGA concept of famous holes
Challenging course with holes picked from famous courses. Late summer and the greens are still in good shape. Not far out of town.
