About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Great course but needs water coolers on the course
I l love this course and we had a great time but there is no excuse for not having water available on any course in this part of the country. In addition we only saw the beverage cart once
In 4 hours.

Bring your target golf game
Fun course. Distance off the tee is not always a good thing. Hole layouts are very close to the original but fortunately the green speeds are moderate.
Will definitely play it again.

Not set up to support extremely hot days with no access to water.
This is one of my favorite courses in Houston. However, when we played on 6/16, it was the hottest day of the year so far, reaching 100 degrees. There is NO access to water anywhere on the course except at the club house. The beverage cart stopped service due to the heat, leaving no ability to get water - free or otherwise. I paid for 3 golfers and one of my threesome had to leave the course after the 12th hole due to not having any access to water, which caused a dangerous scenario for him. This was unacceptable and ruined our afternoon.
The course is an excellent course, the personnel are good, but the lack of water on a hot day ruined our round and that overshadows the other components.

Great idea..but needs work.
Love the idea behind Tour 18. All those great holes from some of the top PGA courses, including Amen Corner from Augusta. Sadly the course has seen better days, it was very dry and could use water on a lot of the Tee boxes and fairways. Greens were in good shape and putted well. Also they need to have water stations on the course when it’s 100+. No one is concerned about getting Covid from them.

Nice Course with Issues
The course is nice and was in good shape. Two big issues:
1.) There is NO WATER or beverage cart provided on the course. Pro shop attendant made this clear upfront and I had to buy drinks before the round as a result.
2.) Pace of play was extremely slow and there did not seem to be a marshal on hand.
I'm not in a hurry to get back to Tour 18 given the above. There are several overall better options in the area.

Tour 18 does NOT disappoint!
Got to hit Tour 18 for the first time, and I gotta say, that’s a fun and challenging course. Getting to play mimicked holes like TPC Sawgrass #17, Pinehurst #3, Bay Hill #6 (this one ate my lunch), even the stupid Disney #6 with the Mickey sandtrap, I had a blast. No birdies, quite a few pars, a ton of bogeys, but you know what they say, a bad day on the course, is better than a good day at the office.
Tees/Fairways: 8/10
Greens: 7/10
Fun Factor: 10/10
Cost: $85

Great course!
Course was great, very realistic and cool holes. Pace of play ended up not being good. The staff told us (and we saw) a group of 12 people that didn’t know each other formed and played together all day. We had the slowest foursome ever in front of us and they got hung up behind people on the back 9. It took 2 of us 5 hours to play. I’m sure that was caused by the 12 guys so I’m not too judgmental of the course on that. Definitely going again this weekend.

Worth checking out if the price is right
Overall the course was in good shape and the concept and layout make it very fun.
Pace was pretty slow, a group of 5 slowed it up, and two groups of 3 joined together just ahead of us. Marshall was out all day but it didn’t seem to move things along much as we waited on every shot.
It’s a little pricey, but if you can catch a deal it’s worth giving it a go. There’s plenty of little details from the inspiration holes for the golf enthusiast to enjoy.
