About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

What a Great Course
Played Tour 18 for the first time and had no expectations. I was impressed. Great course. Fantastic replica holes. Tough course but fair. I certainly will return. As often as possible

Always Fun
Love playing this course. Course was in great shape, rough was heavy, and the greens were a little slow.
Played from the tips for the first time, and the course was very challenging.
Helped me garner a greater appreciation for the pros that hit long irons and woods into greens.

Amazing Views
1st time playing and I enjoyed myself. Thr replicas where on point. The greens look like they're getting aerated r however u spell it but i still enjoyed. Took us 4 hiurs but kause i was the one slowing the play. Nixe Gem n Humble Tx

Great day on the course
Texas rains have the course in great shape!! Greens have been recently airiated and sanded but it’s that time of the year, still rolled true bat a tad bit slow!!

Greens haven't quite recovered yet- very sandy
Great course and always a fun challenge. I do not appreciate paying $80 for sandy greens, however, I think that should be disclosed.

Great course BUT…
Played today between all of the rain the area has been having. Was ok with cart path only golf and that wasn’t an issue. The fairways were green and tee boxes were mostly level.
The problem was the greens. I played 7/13 and the greens looked like they had been punched/aerated overnight and bombed with sand. They were so sandy that the wet conditions made it almost like putting on a beach where the surf hits the shore. Greens were impossible to read today because of this. Now is this a big deal? Not if it’s mentioned somewhere, but there was no aeration indicated on the GolfNow reservation and no one in the pro shop informed me of the aerated greens. These were seriously punched in the last couple of days because the holes were not even close to filling in and grounds crew were rolling greens all during my round.
I love Tour 18 and will always go play there, but there needs to be better communication to guests from staff on these types of matters.

Tour 18 July 12
Front nine greens were being top dressed with sand. I was unaware and was not told this when I called at 7 am to confirm my Gold Now tee time. They did provide some discount but not much due to too dress. You could putt on them, but they were pretty sandy covered. It also has been raining a lot the past two months in the greater Houston area and this northeastern located course was cart path only today. Fairways were good condition but wet and not unplayable.
I was a single player and got paired with a guy who was very familiar with the course and thank goodness. There are not many signs telling you where to go and some of the cart path’s are traversing through construction. He also provided me caddy tips as some of the shots are blind tee shots. It’s a fun course and if it was at full peak condition would be a great value course for the green fee.
