About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Great course
For the price, you can’t really beat this course
The course design is awesome, the greens are immaculate, never a bad lie in the fairway.
Bunkers are great, recently re did a few of them
The rough is no joke, make sure your hitting fairways.
Not a very long course. But still challenging
I’ll continue to drive an hr to play here

Great course
Got it in a hot deal for 42. Definitely worth the hour drive and what we payed. Pace of play was a little slow but it’s also a tough course so it was understandable. For sure recommend especially if you live close

WET WET WET
The course was VERY wet
I have played here for the experience and layout about 10 times in the last almost 20 years.
The reason it takes so long to come back here is that it is too wet.
The course was always wet.
Very challenging
Very appealing to the eye
But too wet. As a result too long not enjoyable.

Thank you for your comment. Perhaps you were unaware tropical storm Beta dropped 7 inches of rain over the 3 days prior to your play date. Try us again when it has not rained so close to your play date.
Great concept well executed
Really enjoyed playing the likes of Pebble Beach, Augusta’s Amen Corner and the church pews of Oakmont all in one place.
Bucket list to play them and the many other famous golf holes at their various locations but that is getting harder to pull off these days. This was a fun outing at a great price.

Course Maintenance is excellent.
6 days a week a large maintenance crew is out wiring on the course to keep it beautiful.
The course Super is out early to direct the crews.
The pro shop staff is great.
The restaurant makes good food. Try the new Quesadilla!
Great bar with great craft beer selection.
Great anti Covid procedures.

Great place in Houston Area

Nice Track
This is was my first time playing the course. I found it challenging yet fair. It was in great shape given this time of year. Nice layout. The pace of play could have been better. I am not a fan for fivesomes..

The hardest course I have ever played on but ABSOLUTELY worth it! You have a greater appreciation for what the pros do because of how close it resembles the holes from the courses they play on.

Tour 18 Round
I play this course several times a year. Normally have an enjoyable round under regular conditions. For some reason on this day, pace of play was horrible. Mentioned it to a marshall on the start of the back nine. He said he asked a group of 4 two holes ahead to pick up their pace but don't think it ever happened. Took much longer to play the back nine. Completely took the fun out of the round. The fairways were in good condition but the greens still need some work (no consistency). I would generally say good value for the course but at the moment there are several courses in the area offering more bang for your buck. Also was really dissatisfied with having to pair up in a cart. As a senior disabled veteran, I'm in the category where I need to take all the precautions available and pairing in the cart made me really uncomfortable.
