About
Parlaying the successes of the Dallas-area Tour 18, Houston's version of America's greatest holes has become one of Harris County's most popular golf destinations. This one takes advantage of the Southeast Texas pines, with towering trees lining every hole, and the impressive conditions that have made both Tour 18s popular with the public.
Two holes stand out on the front side, and they're not the replicas of Augusta's Amen Corner (5-7 on this track). No. 1 is perhaps the most difficult on the course, intimidating off the tee because it is surrounded by wetlands. You'll need a solid drive to start well on this narrow, 440-yard hole. Bay Hill, La Costa, Inverness, and Pinehurst are also modeled, but the other great hole on the front is No. 9, a version of TPC Sawgrass's island hole.
Texas' own Colonial's third hole makes a showing on No. 12, and you'll get to see what Pebble Beach might feel like on No. 13. And those who've played the Dallas track know that the crew can sometimes get diabolical with their stimp-meter readings and pin placements, which is similar to what happens on No. 15-a replica of Shinnecock Hills' 8th hole. The green on this one slopes so heavily toward the front that a three-jack is almost certain.
Doral rears its head on No. 18, the perfect finishing hole for this track. Play the approach to the right side of the green, away from the water left, just like the pros do when they're protecting that precious lead.
Getting there : From US 59 north, turn right on FM 1960 and drive east for about 2 miles to the course entrance.

Tour 18 Round
I play this course several times a year. Normally have an enjoyable round under regular conditions. For some reason on this day, pace of play was horrible. Mentioned it to a marshall on the start of the back nine. He said he asked a group of 4 two holes ahead to pick up their pace but don't think it ever happened. Took much longer to play the back nine. Completely took the fun out of the round. The fairways were in good condition but the greens still need some work (no consistency). I would generally say good value for the course but at the moment there are several courses in the area offering more bang for your buck. Also was really dissatisfied with having to pair up in a cart. As a senior disabled veteran, I'm in the category where I need to take all the precautions available and pairing in the cart made me really uncomfortable.

Great Except Pace
Love the course but over five hours is too slow. And with no drinking water on the course, really need beverage cart around more often. But lots of fun to play.

Walked about 9 miles
Never has a course been devised to so totally destroy the pleasure of walking a round of golf. The average walk between holes is probably a quarter mile. Golf was meant to be walked! Otherwise a really fun round.

Always a good day to play Tour 18
Second time to play here. The only hit today was that they pace was brutal. The course was stacked and there was no where to go. I played through 4 groups and was still stacked. That being said, I still love this place and will continue to go back because the course is fantastic. Could have really used a cart person out there today with water. With no water coolers due to Covid, I ran out of water and had no way of getting any with 5 holes to play and 100 degree heat index temps. I think Tour 18 needs to re-think the cart refreshment policy or put the coolers back out there. It's August for heaven's sake.

Hackers paradise
The amount of hackers on this course just makes it not worth playing.... not saying everyone has to be a scratch golfer but dang I also don’t want to watch you hit 10 feet off the tee box

Tour 18 - Great Experience
I've wanting to play this course for years. I finally took advantage of a Hot Deal and couldn't wait to play it. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were gorgeous. The fairways are immaculate. I loved getting to play some of the iconic holes and man is it challenging. If you haven't played this before then it needs to be on your bucket list here in Houston.

Don’t waste your time/miney
Writing this on 14th hole. They turned the sprinklers on as we were walking on the green. Greens are basically bunkers with blades of grass. Never playing here again. Waste of money. Go play golf club of Houston, it’s the same price.

Punching greens
Only got to play the back nine twice today. Would have been nice to know when I booked the round. Hopefully the greens heal quick.

Good course and in really good shape. 2hour and 25 minutes for front 9. Got a little better on the back. The marshal was aware and trying to keep things moving. It’s too bad some people just don’t get it. Anything over 4 hours is just too much
