Great course
One of the best in alabama. Great layout. Great greens nice fairways. Great people. Great vistas
A hidden gem
Today marks my first visit to Gunter’s Landing and all I can say is WOW! I do not like spoilers, but folks…..this place is absolutely beautiful. The greens are almost done recovering from aeration and still roll well enough to pick a line and trust it 90% of the time. The tee shots are almost ALL stunning postcards. Just play here. End of story.
Fantastic design
One of the top courses in north Alabama. Beautiful vistas ,fast greens , challenging from the tees you choose.an a leisure pace. Easily a 9 on a 10 scale

Best public course in Alabama
I’ve played all over the state and all over Florida, and I still can’t believe this course is basically in my back yard. It’s only around 45 minutes from my house, but I’d drive 2 hours to play here. The layout alone is so special, and I love that you can play from any tees according to your skill of your group and it still makes you think. This place makes you think about where to hit your ball from 5900 or 6800 instead of just picking up a driver, and seeing how far you can hit it. The conditions are always pure for a course that is built in a mountain type location. The greens are soooo pure, and when it dries out just make sure you’re below the hole! I couldn’t recommend this course enough. Just make sure when you’re out there to think about where you can hit it, and it’ll be a lot more fun. If you think your way through it it’s not that hard.
Excellent course
Lots of fun challenges from the teens to the greens.
Nice hilly course, slow play unfortunately
Played the course for the first time, arrived and the Pro said there was a tournament out in front of us , so I expected slow play. The tournament didn’t slow us down, it was a fivesome of members which turned into a 6some in the back nine. Agonizing 6 hour round. The group would not let us through and clearly could care less if we waited. Other than that, the course was very nice. I would play again, hopefully don’t run into the same group.
Great round today!
The weather was great. The course was in great condition.
Great course for the money
Very scenic course. Lots of elevation changes. As a 100+ golfer I still found it enjoyable. Bring extra balls. Bring snacks/drinks. No cart service
Behold the Dragon
I was actually salivating on my way to the course. It wasn’t because I could tame this course but more so the joy, and challenge that awaited me. The sheer beauty and well thought out layout makes this course pleasing to the eye. I am giving consideration to driving an hour to pay this course on a regular basis. Kudos, to the greens and groundskeepers.
