Great course
Greens were recently aerated; otherwise the course is in great shape. Beautiful scenery.
Great course
This course has a ton of character with its elevation changes and scenery. It was in great condition! My group and I were very impressed and will be returning. Only downside would be I wouldn't recommend it for beginner players. We had a great time!
Excellent condition, target golf layout, groups of 5
The conditions were awesome. Greens fast. Fairways nice.
I’m not a huge target golf fan, and a lot of that here I thought. Forced tee shots on par 5’s are just not cool imo. Water in landing areas. I’d prefer more of a risk reward proposition myself. Other than that I thought the layout was good.
The only thing I can say about the pace is: why are you letting multiple groups of 5 out? Why? Actually I don’t care if people play in groups of 5 but let a single or twosome go through you. These people had plenty of experience playing golf. Not sure why they wouldn’t let a single go through. Once I skipped them, the other group of 5 (yes there were more than 1) they let me through and as expected no one in front of them. Let people go thorough.
Beautiful upland golf experience
Gunters Landing is a beautiful presentation of upland golf in a community with great views of the lake and hillsides with no worry of hitting homes. Perfect fairways and smooth fast greens.

Due to the layout, hole 18 can back up, but otherwise all went well.

I had not played GL...in May. Bummer...cuz,
the course is in near perfect condition. The only
complaint...the greens still had aeration holes..
that had not filled in. No worries...the scenery around the course made up for it. Enjoy, if you
can get a chance. (Down from Ohio)

As usual- a great golf experience!
I always enjoy playing Gunters Landing; it’s my favorite North Alabama Course! While approaching the 17th green today, I wished I lived closer than the 50 miles so I could play here more frequently! The greens are in excellent shape! Heavy rains forced cart path only conditions, but it was still a great experience. This course almost never disappoints me!

Great vistas of Lake Guntersville
Range, snack bar and all restrooms but one were closed due to the virus. Golf carts were one person only and flag sticks were not to be touched. There was a PVC pipe in the hole that allowed the ball to fall slightly in the hole. The pro, Steven, was great. Beautiful layout. Greens primo. I played 2 straight wekends and it is an hour and a half drive.

Beautiful Course But.....
The corona virus threat is real. This course is addressing this issue by making golfers ride in separate carts. Which is a good thing. However I brought my wife with me who just likes to ride, not play, and they made her ride in a separate cart for an additional $20. That doesn't make any sense. Seems like they are taking advantage of the situation. They are not being "forced" to do this by the state...I've called and confirmed. I get maintaining distance from folks that don't live in your household but not your wife and definitely not $20 extra. Awesome course but I doubt I'll return unless they adjust their policy on common sense.
