Horriblecondtions
This course is really too difficult for 80 year olds. The course made it even worse with aerated sand covered greens. It was almost impossible to putt. To make matters worse, several holes were cart path only for NO REASON that we could see. We were ALL totally EXHAUSTED after the round. Our 85 year old could barely walk after the round. Several holes were totally UNFAIR for our group. We may never play there again.
Gunters Landing The Challenge
One of the best and most scenic golf courses in Alabama , if you should be in the area and up for the challenge this course is a must play
Great course!
Gunter Landing is a beautiful course. Challenging but so enjoyable. Not a level place on the course. What a great experience one of my favorite of all the courses I played in my life. Keep the drive playable in the fairway to Score well. Can’t wait to go back and play for several days. Obviously being hilly there’s many Blindspot to learn. Great value provided small ice chest and ice on the carts! Bring a lot of balls. But such an amazing experience to play there. I don’t play as much as I used to, pretty much a bogey golfer now. Highly recommend it. What a joy.
Great course
Some of the greens had some bad spots but overall very impressed. Fairways were beautiful. Definitely recommend playing from there. Haha. Greens were slower than I expected.
Very poor outing
Honestly that was the worst half round i've played.
We(my wife and I for our 16th anniversary) booked for three people, but the third had to cancel and then still got charged for a third.
We tried to play 18 holes(which we paid for), but had to wait 10-15 minutes every hole and it took us just over 3 hours to play the front 9 so we had to leave due to other time constraints.
This course is not boring
You can't be this course and the layout ,The ground crew, have this course in Great Shape, Very good price to pay to play this course
Really unique course
My son and I played and had a great time. Staff very friendly. Course is very unique as there are several holes that are hilly and a couple of par 3s that are extremely elevated. Don’t even think about walking this course. Would highly recommend.
Always a treat
As always-Gunters Landing remains my favorite
course in North Alabama, and it’s on my top 10 list of courses that I’ve played worldwide! Steve and staff go out of their way to ensure you have a great outing! BTW: I tried their chicken salad sandwich and it’s the best I’ve ever had!!!!
Greens are terrible!!!
I have played here many times over the last several years. The greens are borderline unplayable. Some on the front are half dead.
Gorgeous course.
Beautiful golf course. Magnificent design. Very hilly. Almost mountainous in some sections. Extremely strategic design. Not a long hitters course. You must be thoughtful over every shot, particularly on the front side. Only drawback to the course is the extreme graininess of the greens. You must understand the direction of the grain, and guess at the affect upon your put, on each green. This is extremely frustrating, because if you get the grain wrong, you're missing the put every time - sometimes by many feet. To make this course a true first rate course, Bermuda greens should replace the brutal grainy greens that deny a golfer his best chance to score.
